alienware pcs are built around the graphics card... even the worst ones are top of the line. this isn't possible..

Alienware is also the most overpriced computers I've seen in my life... Yeah, they're good but I could build one just as good as their $5,000 for about $900 - $2000

aline ware r good i needed it for my home net work not gameming but was going to put ffxi on it but cant not till my new grapic card comes

Sorry to thread-hi jack, but you got the correct answer it seems, and rather than create a new thread (i dun like to spam boards), and its a related topic:

im installing XI on my desktop since my laptop has been having a hard time with FFXI as of late...
the problem is:
i installed XI just fine. updated fine. goto play, pops into FFXI window, but depops back to the POL viewer, and said it cannot recognize my TnL.

i run on:
sysinfo.jpg

i can't find a secure looking update for the driver.. now i thnk i need to buy a new graphics card. any suggestions on what i should buy? keep in mind i will only use this comp for anime storage/ffxi/starcraft&warcraft

thanks for any help on this!

play ffxi with 2 graphic card (SLI enable) doesn't work very well, ffxi doesn't support SLI techology, it'll keep making npc, mob, players, you flickering (Disappearing and reappearing depending on your angle position

I have Aurora 7500 >.> took a big cash out of me almost $5k lol

but I do got good computer tho ^^

Window XP Pro
2GB Memory
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+
410 HD (160GB and 250BG)
Dual Graphic Card 7800 256MB (I think is GDDR3 also) GTX with SLI enabled
(didn't get 7800 512MB GTX, because is super duper expenive lol)
<3 My liquid Cooling, I can let my pc on without getting too hot lol

well i know I showed off a little, I bet blazn got better then mine, mom doesn't allow me to go over 5k on a computer ; ;

Got my Alienware computer at 1/31/06 ^.^
<3 that chassis, I got the white one

Edit: Oh btw Zippy, you may want to check this link http://www.qcdn.org/showthread.php?t=22368

thats when warrenty cames in XD, if it keep breaking, my alienware will keep getting newer and newer XD

I notice that a few people have asked about TnL.

My own post on the Windower forums (look at http://ffxi.archbell.com) is stickied, and should be clear enough to follow.

PM me if you have any questions after you've tried it out.
