Take Home tests that are like impossible to do

*takes his take-home test and starts it*

I do numbers 1-4 took a good while and some effort and some screwups, after I'm done with the 4 I compare answers with a friend (allowed by teacher so don't accuse me of cheating and crap =P ). we got all the same answers so they're probably right.

I start #5 and #6.

5hours later, 4 phone calls, like multiple aim conversations, and google opening up pages that don't even seem human later, thinking up idea that make me think I'm on crack and I can't get the damn answers :( .

Is (4 terms, 9literals) and ( 3 terms, 8 literals) the answers?
 
that's how many terms/literals should be in the answer, yeah.

I think he mentioned that it might be possible to simplify further, but he doesn't want us too.

Don't try too hard on this though ^^; I do have to sleep soonish and wouldn't want to waste your time, and even though we could ask friends I think this is cheating if I did just copy down work/answer froms someone >.>

I said it back when I was in school and I'll say it again now... WHEN THE FUCK IS THIS USED IN REAL LIFE? So far I have yet to use an equation like this to get something done in my work day. LOL!

This is well above my level of math, but where you even use this in programming?
 
Only thing I have used that class for myself was for rasing my GPA.

In actual programming I suppose if you had something like
if ((!A && !B && C && !D) || (A && B && C))
{
exit(1);
}

or something it would come in handy.....

but how often does that happen?
