TARU RDMs teh SUXXORS

It's not all about mp,lol. I'm not going to argue it but in the big picture hume and mithra rdm > all others. Anyways, this seems like another person trying to start a mindless flame war..
 
OK, NOT a flame, just lookin for info here.

Ive partied with a couple taru Rdms that had more mp than hp. How does this affect convert?

um, you don't get full mp from convert, you get whatever your hp is at.

600 hp
800 mp

If that taru used convert at say 20 mp

20/600 hp
600/800mp
 
Like me 8) 749 HP 756 MP. It doesn't really matter because your going to need to use MP to cure yourself anyway. So after I'm done with convert I usually have 680 or so MP left. Better than my 20 or 30 I had to start with.

And you can always snack on taru blm to increase your max mp and int.. come to think of it, taru have so many uses it's no wonder they are the #1 blackmarket product. Soon I'll finish my tarucage, and start putting traps all over jeuno and windy... oh yes... I'm going to be rich.
 
So far the parties I been in, Taru RDMs were the best. They played the job really well but its really the person behind the character. Why I like taru RDM's better is the fact, the ones I have seen, don't melee and pay more attention.

Other classes that played the job seemed too like too melee and cast the same spells I cast after I casted them. It gets on my nerves too see a RDM cast Regen I after I casted Regen II on the tank. But its like I said its the person behind the character.

I meant too say other races.
 
If you want to Balance MP/HP for convert just need different gear. I'm pretty sure naked taru are closest to the mark butI could be wrong.

lvl 1, taru = 24 hp, 26 mp
lvl 1 hume = 28 hp, 20 mp

my RDM/BLM naked as taru at 37 = 445/399

Seems to me like we're the most balanced race for the job. Don't need astrals, we can keep the free slots for INT/MND gear
 
If it makes you feel better,with the exception of perhaps SMN(sorry Sabs) all the mage classes are high demand enough even an Elvaan can level with ease. But flip it around and nobody wants a Taru for a melee DD. And no one ever tries to argue that Taru is gonna make the best DRK. So quit challenging us as mages, we're the best, and you know it. We crush your INT and MND too, ya got nothing. Nothing.

Errr.....Elvaan MND > Tarutaru MND >.>;
 
Its how you play the job, not how much your race gives you in stats. Although taru may not be the strongest all around rdm (for solo etc), they excell in other things. Whereas hume are good all around rdm (in solo and parties). The main thing though is how well the person behind the character plays the job.
 
This thread was made by an amature, I don't see no logic as to what makes a Tarutaru RDM the lesser of.... a Mage class lol.

I hunt with a Hume RDM friend often and our Melee isn't that much off. sometimes i hit for more, sometimes he hits for more. We are both good at what we do outside of parties, and we both take 0 DMG 95% of the time, As we convert and heal up, sure i may be off by 30 Mp or so, but it still requires less for me to heal up and i still have more MP, enough to last in a party for over 10 minutes without resting. Unless ofcoarse i'm main healer.

I don't care too much for High MND, cause these days I've been in really good parties. Mobs get delt with real quick, no enfeebles have a chance to ware off.

I'd also like to hear what exactly makes a Tarutaru RDM a bad vessle for a gamer. As amusing as i find it, i'll be fair and adopt any logical response.
