at first i really like it .... but now it drive me crazy .. do anyone know what .dat for it so i can put better sound ?

I'm just glad somebody finally put this in. For Christ's sake it's like you need to monitor your game at all times while lfg

i have 2 ps2's i play on, one for regular games oen for ffxi, i like it so i dont have to pay attention 100% while lfp.

I don't care about SAM.
I don't care about DRG.
I don't care about SMN.
The tell chime was the high point of the update imo. That and the NPC /bow

There's a /tell chime? o.0

I was on for about four hours last night and don't remember hearin it on any of the /tells I received.

Do you have to enable/disable it or somethin?

I was taking my little Yufafa out /bowing at gilsellers last night in Onzozo o.O

The /tell thing is fantastic =)

You have to enable it. Just hit your Tell filters a few times and you'll see an OFF with a music note next to it. That'll activate it.

Awesome ^^

Xp-ing/meriting on Bst means a chatbox's worth of gear swaps flying by every couple of minutes, so I miss a lot of /tells :P

its ok, i still like chatmon better. I got used to hearing "Incoming Tell!" and i like using it when i need something like a mission or something, i can type in what word im lookin for and it will tell me if its said or shouted. the chime is nice for playin on xbox or ps2 tho

I always set Party/LS/Tells to hold so they aren't scrolled away during battle spam. I rarely miss anything that way. The chime is awesome for when I'm lfp playing DS, though. I still instinctively look up for messages even though I know none are there.

How do you set party/ls/tells to "hold"?

Omg, I so had a "duh" moment... can't believe I missed that -_-;

And another question, is this only available to those on consoles with the "chime" effect?

¿que? It's a cross-platform feature, if that's what you're asking. Unless there's some differentiation between chiming consoles and non-chiming, but I've never heard of such.

Err sorry, what I meant was can this feature be used on a PC? I was just reading that a lot of the people using the chime function, were on the PS2 or Xbox, so I was curious if this is only for platforms or for PC too?
