Hello everyone. As many of you know, I am currently playing Windaria, (Shaidalyn's char) while she is away for the month. I am her room mate (more tenant, I live on the floor below) and she asked me to run Wind in her absence so that she may not fall behind on any deadlines nor static groupings.
I am unsure if my presence is welcomed here due to having to use her PC as I am without and so may upset the Adin. If this is so I will respectfully remove myself from the boards. I only registered at all because of how much valuable information passes here and I'd hate to be entirely excluded.
I am currently assisting her in White Mage, which is not the most exciting job but is rather fun due to the quick pace and high priority and Ninja which I personally adore.
I was curious, if I decide FFXI is for me, does anyone have any suggestions on starting out? Shaid only showed me how to play certain jobs, the rest I learned from here, somepage, and Allahkazahm. I am curious on race/job's that are good to play. I love tanking, I don't much care for mages. Before questions happen I am a guy, so while "manthra" stigma lingers, I wouldn't have any problem with this. Thanks for any advice.
