Well, after reading these posts and seeing how much hate there is towards friends of mine, I think this is not the place anymore to set up runs to meet new people.
I really loved making runs in here, never thought that I would see the day where there would be a flame on here including my friends, my LS and myself.
I know the flame is not against me, but when Atomic is brought up without any reason I feel the need to just write a couple of words. I hope noone minds.

Guess there is a time and place for everything eh :wink:.

For all it matters, Tenia and Byla are my longtime friends.
I did endgame with them for over a year in the past when I ran with Fury.
Never heard any complaints towards their skill.
I just completed CoP with my Ls, Tenia and Byla were there. Cant be all bad going through these missions, as you actually still need some skill to get anywhere in that chapter.
As for the Soboro run, I am sorry that things got ugly, I am sorry that you Lec decided to take this to the flameboard.
I dont know you that well Lec, but I can say that I was pretty happy to see that you were the first one to post on my Soboro thread, as I have been having alot of fun with you on Swift runs. Made me sad to see all the anger towards friends of mine, that in my book are extremely cool people and great players. There are a good ton of players that would say the same as I am now, but either they are not using this site or they just do not want to speak up, hoping that the flame will die.

Again, I am sorry that things got ugly, I am sorry that only one got to pop and get. I were looking forward to a great sunday with alot of nice people.

Matter was simple.

They didn't do the job expected of them, and then when myself and the other members who had signed up, called them on their subpar performance, they copped an attitude and said they wouldn't stay.

I brought it here because as good as your experiences were with them, the limited experience presented to myself and the people who went along for that run of yours were pisspoor.

Instead of taking responsibility for the mistakes made and acknowledge it, she kept going as if nothing were wrong and ignoring everyone's requests to pick up the slack a bit.

Eventually she cracked after everyone called her out on it and decided she didn't want to help anyone else and left.

Much anger and disgust was shifted toward your friends because of this, and I wanted to share my experience so perhaps someone else wouldn't have to deal with the heartache I did.

I stayed up quite late to make this run, to hopefully get mine and help a couple friends and I was greatly bothered to find out no one else would get to make an attempt, because your "stand-up" "good people" friends were sore that people wanted them to perform their jobs on-par with "decent" performance.

And in large end-game groups, it's hard to see some real skill shine and people can get away with playing subpar if there's someone else there to pick up their slack...

But the original flame where they were mentioned, was about a Limbus shell they ran with, and this run we did was a Soboro run with less than 2 parties worth of people.

Both of these events are more focused and attention demanding endeavors, where if you're off your game it shows... ;P

Just because you haven't heard a complaint or noticed it in your playtime with Fury doesn't mean that the talent is there.

You were THERE for that Soboro run.

You cannot tell me that in your mind for a split second, you thought that 1 out of 5+ stuns landing is the mark of a talented, Black Mage. Nor was that behavior of cut and bailing that of a reputable or stand-up person.

Now I don't doubt the fact maybe you've seen them as nice people and have had many a great experience with them, but this run was a prime example that the original flame about her in Limbus wasn't just a fluke or a bad day...

I'm sorry if my thoughts are quite broken, but I've a funeral to attend in a few hours.

I'm sure they're good friends of yours, but they are not and will not be good friends of mine anytime soon.

My friends have spines and don't run in anger when they're receiving what was constructive criticism or advice on how to better perform the job asked of them.

Extended friend defense.

Tanjer, you seem like a decent person. I was wary of a QCDN Soboro run with people I didn't know, but I went along because Lec vouched for you, and because my desire to get this done and out of the way outweighed my previous bad experiences with Soboro runs that both I and my friends have experienced. When it first became extremely obvious that Tenia wasn't pulling her weight as a stunner (and that Byla wasn't trying whatsoever), after we had wiped twice to the first popped Cluster, I told you in tells that I had reservations about her abilities, and you reassured me that she knew what she was doing.

I don't know which fights you were watching, but she didn't Stun anything. Not a single Self-Destruct from the NM; not a single Self-Destruct from the normal mobs in the cave. She didn't even -try- for some of those. Byla tried to feed us a line about how we should -want- the NM's heads to blow up so that it wouldn't Triple Attack, nevermind that both times the NM Self-Destructed the first run, it wiped out all of the melees. You had plenty of opportunity to broker a peace, even if it was a peace of compromise, by stepping in at this point and rearranging the stun order. You didn't.

Instead, you gave lame reassurances that everything would be fine (it wasn't), then when Tenia bailed, you and your LS followed, even though it was painfully obvious that she was the one that wasn't doing her job. You can't tell me that being outStunned by melees using unreliable WSes shows that she is at all competent, or that she was a skilled player. Even if she had shown some class or humility, then I could understand why you leap to defend her, but there's three examples of the kind of person she is on this Flameboard now, and I don't think she's represented herself at all well. I'm sure the "good ton" of people waiting in the wings to defend Tenia aren't as eager, now that she's called out half of the server as Flameboard trolls on the flimsiest of evidence.

I'm sure she's a great friend of yours, but it's been shown several times now that she's a shitty Black Mage, a White Mage with a bad attitude, and an all-around bitch who likes to point fingers at anyone who levies even a slight word of negativity her way. Good luck with your future Soboro runs. I have nothing against you or your linkshell, but I think your faith in Tenia is sorely misplaced.

I'm sorry bud, but CoP has long since been deprived of needing any skill. It has been nerfed to hell and back.

Any random shmuck can get through the missions now.

And before anyone says shit like "Thats just what everyone says" I've done the missions before and after the nerf. Massive differences.
