Tele-TAXI = you know. you pay a whm to teleport you to someplace.
Tele-WHORE = what i call it.
There is a reason I did not post this in the flameboard. Typing versus
speaking leaves a lot to be desired. To me this is an affectionate and
comedic term for the service.
Most of you have played other game; some played FPS or FlightSims.
(or a psuedo combination of the two like Battlefield: Desert Combat;
though it's not really flight simming) In those games the term whore
is used sort of affectionatly for one who always picks ONE weapon or
ONE vehicle.
In the BF: DC, I was a chopper-whore. I always flew the choppers.
In AA, I was a 203 whore (nade launcher).
So, when I first had seen this tele-taxi services rendered in ffxi, I
started calling the Tele-Whores in my head. Until now I've never
opened that thought to the ffxi community because someone might
take it wrong.
Reason for posting? Dunno, I just read about WHM tele-taxi'ing in
another forum and I still think it's a funny term so I thought I'd share.
