TES:Oblivion problem

I'm experiencing a very oddball issue.

My stats screen (the one that shows Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, etc) shows my numbers in green and red. The green numbers represent stats which I am modifying through equipment (ex. Ogre Gauntlets which give +15str). I have 3 green stats I believe; possibly 4.

The red ones I can only assume are stats being negatively affected by some form. It is definitely not gear. My red Intelligence stat shows to be about 34, yet I know for a fact that my base is 52.

Why is this happening? My MP pool has been getting smaller and smaller every level, even though I've been boosting Intelligence and Willpower for the past 6 or 7 levels.

In your spells section of your menu, you have a sub-screen called active effects, or something like that. You should be able to see what's effecting you there.

Another q - I got vampire-inized while doing the Azura's Star quest, and did the extensive crapball quest that follows to create the cure for it. Does this mean I'm now immune to vampireinizationalism? Wikiblivion says so, but with some of the info on those pages, I trust it as far as I could throw it.

Oh, and another - all these people I talked to said I had to prove my worth to the mages guild, or something to that effect, to gain entrance to the Imperial City. Yet I just walked up to the place and through the doors the first time I went there. Is there restricted areas or did I glitch and get in easy?
