Anyone try the demo yet? Kinda weary about dropping $10 on yet another multiplayer Tetris, since I have Tetris DS. But it does support 6 players over Live. "Splash" is because it's also a virtual aquarium, with some additional fish unlocked through achievements or the marketplace. 32 types with 14 active fish. It has a screensaver mode so you can have the main menu hidden and just have the virtual aquarium running on your display.

It seems they've already added downloadable content in an effort to soak you even more than the initial $10. This is exactly the kind of microtransaction bullshit (horse armor!) that makes you want to curbstomp a video game executive.

If you want to nickel-and-dime gamers to death, here's a crazy idea: wait a month or two and release a bit here and a bit there. Releasing it the day after and charging for it is an insult, because it obviously should've been part of the original game you just bought. It's a move that can't be justified as anything other than pure information highway robbery.

I can semi-understand what happened with Luminous because of the restrictions on file sizes, but that's not an issue now.

I'll stick with Tetris DS.

But now your horse can take more damage. It is so worth the extra money for that armor. /end sarcasm

They aren't nickel and diming gamers. They're nickel and diming Virtual Aquarium enthusiasts. $10 gets you the game and all modes. The other downloads are strictly for the aquarium part. Unless they release DLC that give you modes like Push from DS, $10 is all you'll ever need to actually play the game completely.
