The Great Kitty Experiment Continues >^.^<m.

I have taken my Paladin from lv15 when I first posted this to lv32 last night (>.< 6 levels in one day..personal record). I have to agree... Raziella knows the hate game. I did the Provoke Heartbeat and staggered each other ability to keep the hate meter running. Even when I lost hate, I was able to get it back fast. It amazes me how badly others can mess up the hate by using their abilities... there was some DRK who kept spamming Provoke with a <call1> macro... Makes me think back to some parties I was in that really messed up things.

Well, I have lv32-40 to look forward to, and I have a few questions. How have others dealt with people who seem to mess up hate? I generally just ask them to turn mobs with Berserk or Last Resort (not sure what levels those are) instead of Provoke. What about when one player is doing too much damage... what I mean is... doing so much damage they keep turning the mob. When I leveled WAR, I noticed that I kept taking hate, so I stopped spamming holy bolts and even turned my back a couple times. Without flash, is there a better way to recover hate?

As for equipment.. I'm really unsure about this. I probably should have equipped better already, but now that I've made it to 32, I think I should smooth things out. I have chosen the Eluemheiser...haiser?...however thats spelled... armor for the VIT boosts, but I was using two +3 MP earings, a HQ MP Ring +5 and a HQ VIT ring. I'm still using my dash slash, but I'm not sure the CazNez is worth it due to the loss of defense. I'm using a tiger necklace for the attack bonus, and an evasion mantle...cause...I had nothing else. I'm not sure at what point I need to look for emnity equipment. And I usually move up to Silver Chainmail at lv36, but I'd loose the VIT boost, so I'm wondering if there's a better option.

I'm mainly leveling Paladin so I have an option for CoP missions, but I have to say I'm really enjoying it. I'm very tempted to seek as a WHM/PLD just to see what happens. I'd have less MP than WHM/SMN but ...might be fun to Cover the tank, just to say I did it.

When i first started PLD use to stagger my abilities through out the corse of the fight.. but as my level rose i realized i could rely soly on Provoke and flash with all the tons of Enemity + gear we get and of course Self Curing as well as healing others when needed

Now i still only use voke anf flash normaly.. but if i do lose hate i start useing my hate building ablitiies to get it back.. ussually it only take a warcry or Rampart and then its continute voking and flashing and curing as ussual..

PLD has a good deal of timing involved in it.. not near as much as NIN but a good PLD will see the Attack Animation of the mob as its starts and begin casting a a large cure spell 3 or 4 depending on current HP if im not taking alot of damage ill spam cure 2 cause it has a faster casting time than the others and uis still effective
 
I looked through alla to find what I can equip, and I'm not seeing too much between 32 and 40. I suppose I'll just wait until I decide to go farther than 40 with paladin...I'll probably goto 41 so I can get the free weapon.
