Hey everyone ^_^ Well that time has come. I am shipping out with the Army on August 1 for 6 months. Heading to bootcamp then moving to Texas for my AIT to become a medic and recieve my EMT certification. I have not been on FFXI very much this month outside of talking and saying goodbye to several of my friends and Linkshell.
With me leaving I think this would also be the best time to pull myself away and leave this part of my life which has impacted me greatly, behind. I am not sure if I will return to the game when I come home or not. This game has always been an escape for me in my life. A place where I could escape and feel better and be happy. I find that now since I have joined the service and have been on special orders from the end of June until now, I have discovered a personal focus for myself, and no longer feel as so distracted. I have accomplished everything I could of ever hoped for in the game after playing the past 3 years. This including getting a job to 75, (in this case almost 4!) completing CoP & ZM, fighting some of the hardest enemies in this game including wyrms and the big bad boy himself Baha ver. 2. I have laughed, cried, butt heads a few times, and over all enjoyed myself greatly through the people I have met over the past few years. From pulling my hair out with pick up CoP parties to playing exp party drinking games with Shyrra, all my memories of this game has been awesome. I was even honored with being able to meet a few of you irl, which I will add, was an absolute blast! I felt like a real part of this online community, and consider many of you friends.
As a white mage in game, the party protector, healer and perhaps the most awesome-est of jobs bwhahaha, I hope to continue my role, only this time protecting and serving my country. For the time being, I have given Reya to Raesvelg to use and abuse me for R3's, powerleveling and teleporting T_T. He better take care of her well... since I'll be coming home as a killing machine and all
