If you didn't care anymore, why bother posting? Unless you're scrambling to recover whatever credibility you're losing by posting here (and being rebutted by everyone, both lower and higher level - since that matters so much to you.) You have 60 in a craft, 50 in another... and you can't make money. You say you couldn't care less. I say you're either lazy, amazingly stupid, lack basic understanding of economics, or a nice mix of the three.
My refreshes go to people who need it. I don't need it first. A good BLM will. I'm not a noob RDM. I know what my limits are and when i need shit. I shit +40mp Pumpkin pies out of my taru ass every morning. You can go suck on a popcicle.
Every 'good' RDM I've spoken to, in forums and ingame, basically concur the Refresh ladder goes Self, PLD, Main Healer, DRK, SMN, BLM. BLM should really NEVER need Refresh, since they have the best Clear Mind trait in the game and Conserve MP. Plus, if they're using all of their MP every fight, they're likely a DEAD BLM due to hijacking the hate to an unacceptable degree. A BLM that needs Refresh is a bad BLM. Plain and simple. And the pies? Well, you said you basically expected the melees and tanks to eat food - save gil for me, but not for thee?

If it's not there, then it's a bad party. Every party that has gotten anything close to acceptable XP has had either a BRD or RDM in it from 41 on. And if it's not there? I won't keep my summons out - I do know how to make critical decisions like that. They'll have to accept the fact that my Magic Bursts don't do double the damage of the RDM because my avatar can't build TP. Whatever.

I don't need to tell people I'm a good player. I just let them invite me and show them that.
RDM is an in-demand job. Many players choose it (just like WHM) because they know everyone wants one. They want people to fight over them regardless of their skill or gear, simply because everyone wants their Refresh or Raise II or whatever. I haven't had a chance to get Fenrir yet, and until I do, I fully expect to lose invites due to it. I don't have a level 70 job, nor do I have the gil to finance five level 75 mercenaries to get him for me (last I heard, the going rate just for the Fenrir fight was nearing a million, possibly more.) Could I make the gil? Hell yes I can. May I give up and do it eventually? Who knows.
I have the utmost respect for the 'low-demand' jobs, and the people who play them. Jobs like DRG, SMN, MNK, WAR (to an extent.) I understood fully that SMN was at the bottom of the mage ladder when I decided to take it up. We are an end-game job. Post-70, we're some of the best damage dealers a party can find. Until then? Pure support/backup heal role. I could have stuck with WHM to 75, sure. I can easily predict my level being around 60 or so if I'd stuck with it instead of stopping at 37 to have my Summoner perma-sub.
Do I care? Nope.
It's not a race, despite what you may want to believe.
