So it all started the Sunday before last. I quit my job because my boss flipped out on me because he forgot he told me to do something, and I did it, but he is a dick and flipped out anyway because he is a 70 year old asshole who can't do shit for himself. I've wanted out of the job for a while now, so it's not that bad, but no I don't have a source of income yet.

I had a job interview which I got through a friend who worked in that store. Well it turns out that they are only hiring someone for a two month temporary stay, which would have been fine if to give me some money as I looked for a more permanent job to get me through college, except the decided to bring back an old employee to work those two months rather than train someone new just to let them go. So I'm back on the job market.

Then this Tuesday, yesterday, I get kicked out of the house I am living in because the people I were living with were the daughter and son-in-law of my bosses of whom I just quit the job. She said that since I didn't apologize for quitting, I can't live there. And no way in hell was I going to apologize for doing my job. Talk about not being able to seperate personal lives from business.

So here I am jobless and homeless with college bills racking up. Why does shit always seem to happen around the same time? When shit hits the fan, shit really hits the fan. Anyways, if you don't see me on much, that is why. My computer is currently packed up in the back of my car. I'm hoping to get it setup back home two hours away from my college so I can at least have a place to sleep at night besides my car and to continue my CoP static.

/sigh

Feels good to get shit off your chest, but still doesn't help the matter.

Oh wellz:mad:

That fucking sucks dude...if there's anything I can do to help (save sending you money, I'm pretty broke as well >.> ), let me know.

:( I'm really sorry to hear, if you happen to be in DE let me know

You must know the ins & outs of that old dude's workplace.

Go around a public park with a plastic bag and a scooper one day. Pick up as much dog poop as you can, new or old (old is better). When you have about 2-3 pounds, tie it up and keep it cool somewhere.

During some hour of the day (morning is best), locate the ventilation intake for the workplace. Untie the bag, deliver the payload, and walk away whistling.

Note that this works best on cold days when the heater will be turned on for the majority of the day.

lol Sounds like a plan Cmdr. I know the store better than he does. I've worked there for 6 years and taught him how to use the computer system when we got a new one. Anything that went on went through me, so they are having a hell of a time keeping the business in order, or so I hear from my g/f who also worked there.

And I'm in New York, close to DE but too far lol Spent all day looking for a new job and a new place to stay. Put in about 15 applications, and one even said I would be perfect for a manager spot due to my previous experience in customer service and such. And I have my eye on about 3 or 4 apartments in New Paltz that are looking mighty fine. They are in my cost range and within 1 mile of my college campus and my potential work areas.

This 10 Days from Hell might turn out to work for the best after my hunt today. We'll see how things go.

Hope things start looking up for you Lan. You can always come kick it in CT with me. ^^b

And on a side note.. you go to SUNY New Paltz? I'm applying there as one of my transfer schools for next year. Now I know who to talk to when I come up to visit that place. =P

lol New Paltz is awesome. I love this town. I definitely suggest it if you are getting into something in the arts. Look me up if you and the folks want a guided tour lol

Good luck Lanien. Let me know if I can help with anything. If I ever get up to that area, I know which store I'm egging.

I hate crappy job environments, 99% of the time it's a people problem. Additionaly 99% no matter what you do you can't fix it.

I hate to say it but sometimes quiting is the best thing to do when trying to succeed.

BTW don't take me too serious I've only quit one job and am only 20.

GL Lanien.

Yeah, I am 20 too and this is the first job I have quit besides the seasonal work I did when I was 12-14, but that was because getting paid minimum wage was so much better than farm wages.

I've always been one to persevere over my obstaces. Now it just so happens that I have two to climb at the same time.

BTW, showering in the campus gym isn't as bad as I thought it would be lol Turns out no one really uses it and prefer to use their dormitory shower, so the one I used today was all nice and clean. Now to start stealing peoples' quarters to do my laundry at the laundromat up the road :spiteful:

times like this is why you force your parents to move to wherever you're going to college with you! (not in the same house, just in the vicinity)

sucks dude, hope you get things straight.

haha see that's the thing my mom is such a worry wort about her only son... I'm going to college in either... Winter's Park, Florida at Full Sail - Phoenix Art Institute Arizona, or Seattle Art Institue Washington... I just had to pick something in the corner of the country... since i live in Missouri, but now my mom's wanting to move wherever I move just in-case something goes wrong I will have a place to live whilst still going to school :p

Bad things happen to people who make others look at Tony Danza.

lol That is Bob Saget

Going to look at an apartment today ^^

Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck Lanien. Hope you get into some new digs and a new job soon.

Dude, I'm like.. 40 minutes from New Paltz. Where were you before?

And also, to go along with Cmdr's advice, if you want something that will build up really nice, put a raw big thick steak in a bowl of milk. After a couple weeks... ugh...
