Yo Folks.

Me and my friend have been trying to dou some SMN fun in Altepa lately, since the Goblin Traders got some nice and easy spider pets. 2 BP, and they are usualy eating sand.

However, the XP really isent that great, since we are constantly disrupted by Lesser Manticores that got 24/7 flee, Goblin Digger and Reapers that all seem to pinpoint directly to our location all the time, thus we find ourself swarmed by mobs out of nowhere, even when we try our best at keeping a lookout all the time.

So any of the 1337 SMN's on the board have a nice tip to dou somewhere else please?

Check ffxi.allakhazam bst forum for duo spots, its almost the same kind of deal.
 
Try both of your Carbys on some Bombs, I think you can duo the ones in Garliage at the lvl u guys are.

It's a good guide, however the things SMN can solo/duo are vastly different than the things a BLM can solo/duo. =/ (many of the level ranges are it recommending SMN's elementals, which a SMN most definitely would not xp off of.)

At 38 there's not many good spots where mobs are capable of SDing...you could try either Ancient Bomb (L40-45 in Oldton), Goblin Poacher (42-47 in Yuhtunga, 44-49 in Yhoat) or perhaps a pet belonging to a Goblin Trader. Gigas' Tiger also make rather good XP mobs since their HP is incredibly low for their level, if you're able to get out to Xarcabard; the only problem with that camp is there's occasionally people there farming lumber, which would halt your xp should that situation come forth, as well as eyes that may wander at a few spots near the Gigas.

We gonna try find a camp for Ancient bombs down in Oldton. Sounds like a good idea. Been trying to find some bombs around our lvl, but most seems to be a 50+ thingy...
