Why are there so many fucking stupid people on this game.

I get invited into a group on my 56 drk(firstly no message just an invite right out of the blue)so i thought hmm ok ill accept, so i do. Just me a thf and a rdm in pt atm, the thf says she has a pld and mnk waiting for us and is just searching for a whm. hmm ok fair enough, me and the rdm make our way to boyahda tree. along passes an hour. still the pt isnt ready. somehow the mnk and pld have got themselves back to jeuno and so they have to come out again. Finally the pt is together at tree and i think good we can finally start leveling. i move off to the camp spot, with the rdm and whm close behind. None of us have sneak yet we get there fine no agro, next the mnk thf and pld try to get through, first they spam for sneaks, i say you dont need them just be careful walking through, and pretty much as soon as i say it the dumbass retard pld goes and gets agro dies and instantly blood warps. Well what a great hour and a half of my life spent. My punctuation is crap because i can not be assed to do it properly.

Another great day on ffxi, another great party experience

If you have ability to sneak people then you should have sneaked him in the first place if you were that serious about exp.Sneak oil cost 10k a stack these days anyway so not everyone buys em.But if u didnt feel like sneaking him then obviously there was a chance for him to get aggro... and he was pissed to he warped.too bad.

Oh shut the fuck upWSM.....you're the kind of asshole that doesn't buy sneak oils, I just know it. Melee need to stop this "it's 10k for sneak" bullshit.
It's not that bad!!!! It's not leven 1k per oil. Get over it, buy the oil, shut thefuck up.
 
Wolf if you read properly idiot, im a drk how the fuk am i menna snak people, he didnt bring sneak oils, he relied on mages, i go through without sneak, his dumbass didnt. You know your edging towards becoming pondlife yourself
 
Yeah, I play a mage and I can sneak/ invis myself, and I'll be nice enough to do it to melee at the start, but once we get moving thru agro they need to rely on their own resources. Most people too cheap to buy sneak/invis potions are too cheap to buy the best gear, the hell is wrong with all these misers?

Precisely, im able to run through most agro zones without sneak on or invis, because im actually careful where i go, but i have sneak and invis pots anyway. People who completel rely on mages deserve to get agro and die, but when they do die and then that means everyone has wasted their time getting there, it does annoy you a little bit :evil:
 
look, it has been thoroughly resolved that you should buy your own oils and sneak yourself. the people who CAN cast the spells are generally less effective at farming than those who can't. gil is not so easily aquirable for mages and why should they spend their mp on you? we buy spells every level, you can buy oils and powders every level.
 
I don't see why non mages refuse to buy oils. Listen, later in the game everyone has to buy sneak oils and prism powders even mages so its not a huge deal to do it then as well. Now its not the mages fault or experience points being lost if he/she dies so unless you wish to continue to lose more exp until you learn the mage can't always be there for you then thats too bad.

Normally I wait for the melees to catch up since they may or may not know the way and its nice to save them a little gil by sneaking them once but after that its totally their own responsibility. I can't be expected to reapply sneak on everyone especially when yours goes same time as mine. So I have to make a choice, you die or I die? The choice should be obvious, I have my sneak, so where is yours? I hate to be so cold but if you can farm the gil for your armor and your food then you can farm a little more for the oils and more than likely you will only use 2-3 oils each time you get to the camp. Thats 1/4 of 10k gil, I think you can live with that.

It challenges me to try to understand why on earth the PLD actually went to home point, when the WHM could easily have R2'd him. Sure, he's mad, but even if I was pissed to the point of quitting the game I wouldn't pass up a chance to regain some of the EXP I lost in the first place..
 
PLD didn't have sneak oils and was clumsy enough to catch aggro in an easy part of the zone to avoid it huh?

Here is my honest opinion of why so many people these days are so screwed up:

Powerleveling low level characters. It's the devil, all there is to it. It's one thing to pl a tad AFTER you've done the job for a good 40+ levels, if you want to hang out with your friends/ls mates and are bored. It's totally another when you are just learning the job and need to know what aggro's, what doesn't, how to play the game, (not the game play you), yada yada.

I've said this for a long time. Since the PS2 release came out, things have gone to hell in a handbasket. And I'm NOT saying it's all you PS2 players. But, I am saying it's you people who get pl'd etc.

When us PC people started playing this game, we didn't have people to PL us and get us Rank 5 fast so we could ride the airship. Hell, I could go on for at least an hour, but I'll stop now. Just think about it. How many of you actually did your jobs from lvl 1 with only your level group helping you get what you have so far? How many have had high level help? And I'm not including AF NM's in that question. Just regular coffer keys, coffer's, Rank, PL'ing, etc.

I have a ps2, and I went through a lot to get where i am, still learning today. I also know this game requires a lot of team work. I'm normally on meh rdm, and i still carry a pack of sneak and invis items. But I also wait up for non mages so i can help them out, cuz i do understand they cost quiet a bit. It was their fault for not bring sneak and invis oils/powders, but a mage could toss a lil help.
 
Talking about ranks, from my original post about the pt, the mnk i nthe pt was level 56 but at rank 2...
 
Just adding to my post a tad. I'm now starting my 11th job from level 1 (Bard), and it's damn hard to level it cuz of Gods and HNM's and my LS. But, I STILL refuse to be pl'd just to get it to 37 as a sub for my whm. I will not take the easy way out no matter what. I need to learn the job and do well at it (I hope anyway).

Personally, I think PLs have little to do with it, so long as the player has a good head on their shoulders to begin with.


PLing a perfect stranger noob...I never would. I see the difference.
