The amount of pondlife on this game[M]

Well just cry me a river. You cry babies seem to have forgotten the very basics of partying in this game

1. You invite people into your party at your own risk.

2. You accept inites to parties at your own risk.

3. The only way to avoid #1 and 2 is to join a static.

4. Just like the in real world in this game shit happens.

5. Not everybody plays the game like you do. Get used to it.

6. When you complain there will be people that don't give a damn.

7. You can always quite a party. They can't force you to stay.

8. If you are party leader you can always kick the bum out. Most of us don't like doing that, but grow some balls dammit.

9. Always rember there people are still learning the game. They are still learning how to make gil. They are still learning how use their character's jobs. What they should have at what level. What they need to keep on them for when they go to level. So know this, No amount of bitching, nagging, or cusing will make another person a better player. This is not the Marine Corps!!!!!!. Heck, after that once they become good players why would they want anthing to do with you?

That is my rant and I'm sticking to it.

And when would you consider a person done learning? Well, by the higher levels like the story originally posted was, people should know better. Just because someone makes a mistake, doesn't mean we should all just live with it. And yup, some people aren't going to listen, but there are people who do take what others say seriously and could even be like "Oh, I never even thought of it that way." There's no harm in trying. (Just don't be an ass yelling at a person and think results are going to show up)... otherwise the philosophy should be:

"You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is: Never try"
- stolen from Homer Simpson

Sabia, I'm grateful you haven't seen all the terrible mages I have. Now, there are a few things I need to respond to:

No, being a melee doesn't make you an idiot. Shit like this post, not doing your job, not skilling up required weapons, ending up dead because you're too damn lazy to put together 4k for the items needed to get to camp makes you an idiot.

I take offense to this, I've said before I buy the items. On top of that though, I skillup my weapons, level multiple subjobs, buy nice expensive gear, and last of all having said items and being a Thief it's rare I die getting to or being in a xp party.

Not that I won't take one for the team if it saves the mages, I've done it before and I'll do it again.

You jump right into some conclusions about me here with no information to base them on, and while you don't like my post it's ridiculous. I don't like bein discredited and I don't like people making assumptions about me personally.

This is such bullshit. Every mage I've partied with past 40 has had food, silena, and almost all required spells minus erase and stupid shit like En spells. I've parited with more melee that don't use food than mages....

Does this make all melee idiots? No, it makes those certain melee idiots. I've parited with melee that are absolutel gold and I love them so much but people like you piss me off with the above comments.

You're speaking from personal experiance, as was I, you don't need to take offense, and neither do/will I. I should have been more considerate, but I was making a flame. I'm sorry if this upset you.

Uhh you mean like you? You're whining. About tanks taking it for the team...I've died in parties far more often than my tanks keeping my party alive with my cures. Last night I died doing it as a matter of fact. My life was at about 90-something and our tank was getting down to about 200 hp...what did I do? Divine seal and Cure III (I had so much hate no matter what cure I'd cast I was going to die) on the tank, BAM I go down and tank makes it to the end of battle.

I wasn't intedning to whine, only state that melee *Like myself* are more then happy to die for their mages. I wasn't considering it at the time, but yes I have seen mages do the same on multiple accounts.

I shouldn't have made this part of my post. I'm sure if any of my mage-friends were on the boards here they would berate me for this themselves, as they have saved my ass a good number of times. *Ditto.*

Thank you for calling me on this part. I really do appreciate it. I suppoose that's why there is no edit button though.

Fuck you. Seriously just shut up right now. I hope to god no mage ever does ANYTHING for you again. No more cures, no more sneaks, no more XP. You are so damn ignorant and selfish.

It's been in every Ninja faq I've read, and it's happened to me tanking more then I'd like to admit to. Mages skip on some spells they really need. Since parties need mages, it's tough shit for the tank.

I'm sorry if this upsets you, but once again, it's a flame. I didn't direct it towards any paticular players, just pointed out a legitimate problem.

I've never partied with a NIN that was a complete melee loser. They never complain about the cost of oils, they always have tonko, they have their magic, you could learn something from them.

Most of the RNGs I've met have been the same minus an idiot RNG/WAR I partied with.

You sound lazy and pathedic...you should probably shut your hole right now before you dig it so deep you can't crawl out of it.

Well, for one Ninja and Ranger that are good generally don't complain. How much of that is because they know they'll get flamed to high hell remains to be seen. I wsih they didn't have to pay so much to do their job. Unfortunately picking your job is also taking on it's costs.

Again, you're jumping to a conclusion because I *sound* lazy and pathetic? That's something that isn't only uncalled for, but it does upset me a great deal. I spend a LOT of time making sure i'm as good as I can be BEFORE I level.

You have no idea how many gimps I've seen surpass me. My equipment, subjobs, items I carry are always at or above par, and ussually above it. Since my dedication to this is one of the biggest reasons I'm not a higher level, it's really a sore point that someone would assume I don't do it.

Oh, and another psot that needs responding to by another person:

I am with Sabs, Anderithe's comments on mages at large is horrible. I'll be adding you to my blist, which makes you number 4 since I started playing last year Feb.

Good job Anderithe, you waste of pixel and server space.

I hope for your many untimely d/c in battle and may all your synths break.

It sounds as if you read more of Sabia's post then my own. I find it hard to believe your blist is so small if one post in the flameboards is what it takes for you to wish for a person misfortune in e-life.

I don't generally like staying on people's bad sides, and that is the only reason I responded to this last part.

I don't generally like staying on people's bad sides

This probably didn't help much...

Because it is the long established tradition that you are the WHORES of this game

Some people are so stupid, I swear.

I'm going to second Bigboy on this one.

You weren't trying to offensive? Sure tricked me with that idiotic post you made. Everything I responded to was a quote from your post...don't try to pull this "I didn't mean it that way". You came out fists flying and mouth spewing and I felt the need to shove it back in your face.
You made some grose generalizations about the classes that keep your ass alive, it goes two ways in this game and it really pisses me off that you try to take the credit. Melee's keep my ass alive and I gladly do the same for them, if you want to solo play a beast and leave us alone.

Don't even get me started on the above quote that Bigboy used from your post.

That'd be nice Sabs, but as I pointed out, you didn't flame me for what I said. You just went off on a rant about things you assumed to be true. Assumptions that were off the mark and that discredit the work I put in on my character.

Then I try to placate you, and let everyone know I'm not some gimp/loser/sucky melee as you tried to paint me despite having nothing to support what you said. You just roll your eyes.

Nothing outside a flame I made when I was angry. I've taken back some of the things I've said. As for the whores thing, there was a better way to say that.

Now I understand you're used to just labeling people and moving on, the fact you're well-known around these forums will certainly allow you to do so if people let you. However, what you said about me wasn't true, and no matter how nasty my post was, just rolling your eyes won't MAKE it ture.

I'm a good player, and the problems I mentioned with with mages do happen.

How did I not flame you for what you said? I went back and quoted everything you made in that post and wrote what I thought was an appropriate response based on YOUR words. If your post makes you sound like an ass then that's your own fault, not mine. Obviously it did because a few board members backed me up on my response.

The debate ended up being about lazy melee who don't bring oils/powders and expect mages to carry them through zones. You come out defending these people and tell me that us mages bitch too much. You say it's expensive and that we should carry you through zones and that we are the WHORES of the game. Did I miss something? You're defending gimps and insulting a whole half of what makes your parties function. How did I not support what I said?

Please enlighten me with a better way to call mages Whores...I'm curious.

I don't consider myself as someone who labels people easily. Most everyone who knows me will back this up as there have been times that my friends have been "Why did you forgive them?" but I do, I'm pretty opened minded...however when you come out spewing crap like you did in that post it's going to get ANYONE who plays a mage riled up.

Peeps may say "it's just a game" while they are right this is a huge time investment in my life and I quite enjoy it and take pride in it. Besides I never take being called a "whore" really well...unless it's by Dirgesong

See above in relation to this topic. You were defending gimps and saying that idiots not being able to make it to camp is somehow my fault.

Anderithe said:

The ignorance floors me. It happens with melee too but not with every melee. I think it's time you go back and read what you said before saying what I posted was missinformed. <-there's another one for you

I'll just let you figure it out. I already quoted exactly what you said about me that wasn't true, and WHY.

I'm done in this thread. I shouldn't have flamed nor responded to your return of the bullshit.[/quote]

Meh, she wasn't saying you were guilty of not skilling up and all that, you pissy little cunt. She was simply pointing out ways SOME melees fuck up since you were so happy to point out how SOME mages fuck up. I saw this and probably everyone else did, too.

It's your whores comment that set people off - and no, there's no better way to say something like that. You bitch about people labeling you, but the only reason you're getting pounded is because you did it yourself when you labeled everyone in three whole job classes. Maybe you should try fighting some IT++ without our help. Let me know how that works out for you, or how much gil you're spending on medicines to restore HP. Maybe then you'll realize you aren't a saint blessing us with your presence and the relationship is symbiotic, not parasitic.

I was also irked by the notion in your intial post that you shouldn't ever have to spend gil - AT ANY DAMNED TIME, NEVER! - on echo drops, silence oils or prism powders because mages have spells with the same effects. I'm a mage and I carry ALL of that shit too - as well as antidotes to save a WHM some MP if I get poisoned, and two stacks of pies. (I usually don't carry juices because I'm a walking, talking yagudo drink.) You ever think about saving yourself some money and spending a little time to make these things yourself? Some of these items are rather easy to craft.

I'm with Pannda from another thread. No raises for you if I find your festering corpse somewhere or get a tell saying you're dead and need help. But you might get a Tractor just in time to fuck someone else's attempt up. This whore has a meanstreak.

 Good one Sneak!!!

As far as this post goes, Sabs has it covered. Sabs I'm behind you 100% so far on every thing you've said. No need for me to reiterate and clutter the thread up further.

Carry on gf  .

Andirethe or whatever your name is, so far from what I've read, you come out spewing a bunch of crap and when Sabs calls you on it using YOUR quotes, you backpedal big time. Personally I think you're full of shit, but Sabs has it covered and I'll let her put you in your place.

As far as you calling us mages whores, well then, I guess he next time you need a raise or something like that, us mages will conveniently not be around to help you. That was definitely goin' over the line and crossing the limit.

That is all ...

Sorry bout the damn double post. I really hate these boards in the mornings  .

Oh and you know those little luxiries, Anderithe, Teleports and Warp II ... I hope the day never comes when you ask me, or any mage you just insulted for one. Enjoy your 2k chocos out of Port Jeuno, or your nice fun walk to your home nation!

The only spells I dont have are half of the Ancient Magic ones. As I told my friends: "I'm not going to buy spell just to show you how pretty it looks, and never use it again, that is not worth my 300k!" Mages do spend a lot. Youre just a dipshit who doesnt understand.

I bet you my cape and earrings cost more than you own in this game.

Even tho I hate sneaking / invising ppl, I honestly think it's mage's duty to cast sneak / invisil. Just like it's the tank's duty to voke, the melee's jobs to melee... w/e...

Mages were given the ability to cast sneak and invisil, not just for themselves, but others as well.

So, why should everyone without the ability to sneak / invisil pay some x amount, doesn't matter the amount, to do so?

It's not like those who can't cast make us do ~ whatever that is we can't do (can't think of anything right now) buy temporary abilities to do so.

Beh, if you're smart enough, you'll get the jist of what I'm trying to say...

If you're a mage, it's your job to cast sneak / invisil, as much as we hate it :( .

Everything in this game balances out. There is no CHEAP job. For example most NA have ruined the name of DRG because they do it Half assed, thus it becoming a cheap job. But in the end the game balances out to where we do the things we do for a reason.

We are given sneak/invso to help others out. But when I have to run half a zone because the WARs sneak dropped, and he is risking not only his life, but mine aswell, I dont think thats called for. 1 god damn sneak oil will last most of the zone, and I sure know that Tonko(ninjitsu) lasts hella long!

Even tho I hate raising ppl, I honestly think it's mage's duty to cast raise. Just like it's the tank's duty to voke, the melee's jobs to melee... w/e...

Mages were given the ability to cast raise, not just for themselves, but others as well.

beh jk, Yeah I think we should atleast cast sneak and invisil as needed the first time.

Then as everyone loses their abilities, use their own oils and powders...
