The amount of pondlife on this game[M]

Honestly Prince, what is your highest job level? Furthermore how many times have you been to Ifrits Cauldron, FeiYin, Ro'Maeve, Sky, Temple of Ugglepleigh(sp?), Den of Rancor ... the list is endless where it is NOT feasible to cast more than a melee's first sneak/invis. Some of those place are because of MAGIC mobs who even us, the mage cannot cast on ourselves, let alone another person.

I've said this constantly. Do you people NOT read or what? I am a MAGE!!! I NEVER leave home without my echo drops, food (or the ingredients to make some), sneak oils and prism powders.

I also have more melee jobs than I do mage jobs. Because I KNOW what it's like from both ends I NEVER bother the mage with having to worry about me. Especially if you're in a 12-18 person alliance. If you're doin' then, it's very very rude and inconsiderate!!!
 
I don't mind helping the melees with sneak/invis. I even like saving them oils and powders by casting on them. But I don't like holding their hand or having to go back really far to get them because they didn't bring any items with them.

If there's magic aggro around, those melee are on their own after the zone though. I always carry oils, powders and I expect everyone else too. Not carrying them because you don't want to shell out the money makes you an idiot, I can forgive people who just forgot to get some at the AH before we headed out.

I think I might want to start up alchemy so I can just bazaar oils and powders to the melees in my party. Tell them they get 1 cast, the rest is up to them.
 
Oh yeah, and I'm behind Sabia 100%. Anderithe started talking shit about mages and Sabia smacked him back down. His highest job is only 44, and he's talking like he's the expert of the game when he hasn't seen any magic aggro zones yet. Get to Ro'Maeve and then try calling for a mage to sneak you in the middle of the zone.

It sounds as if you read more of Sabia's post then my own. I find it hard to believe your blist is so small if one post in the flameboards is what it takes for you to wish for a person misfortune in e-life.

I don't generally like staying on people's bad sides, and that is the only reason I responded to this last part.

What did you expect, you're going to get retaliation from the mage population. You might be a competent player in game, but your attitude is what won you a place in my blist.

My blist is small because I have a lot of patience with people (within reason), but what you said has struck a chord with me. A nice analogy for what just happened, is take a political figure who makes a blanket statement that offends a certain group outright. Do you expect that certain group to vote for this political figure? They don't.

Watch what you say, reputation is important in this game.

Well yeah, it's common sense in high level areas if tihngs aggro to magix, don't cast, use your *stuff....

But as for low level places such as Tree, Cappy, Nest, and tadel, how hard is it to just... Alt + 4 ...

As for my job levels... :? I dunno.
