The dreaded 2 words: POWER LEVEL!

I tried two PL parties and when it comes down to it, it is just plain boring. Nobody wanted to Skill chain, or do any kind of planning. Everyone just whacked on the mob haphazardly. In both instances I had "something" suddenly come up. I just couldn't handle that kind of playing.

10-15: Bubriuma pernisula; Bunnies gobs, etc.

15-25: Korrokorla tunnel; worms till 19, crabs till 23, pugs till 24. ^^;

Best way to go.

I'm yet to have a bad experice in dunes though... People say i'm way too lucky.

:?

I PL my friends sometimes. Only difference is they don't die if things go wrong. I wouldn't PL a full party of 6, only because i cannot see all the HP at once.

I don't believe in spoiling a player, as in power leveling someone that has no exsperience in working with others. In some cases it can take forever to build a party, and when working on a sub job, i couldn't care less if i joined a party that was under the watchful eye of a high level healer. (If so make it RDM, that makes for no downtime).

With or without a power leveling session in the area, there are times when there are no mobs in the area, so i don't see anything worth complaining about on the subject.

Hearing the party I've just joined has a PL always makes my heart sink a bit, because I know that as a mage I'm going to be bored off my ass, not to mention people are likely to get sloppy...if they've bothered learning their job at all. I stuck with a friend and cured him while he was leveling thief, but that's about all I'll do. No full parties or anything like that. Persistent requests for such have landed people on my blacklist.

I'm not even going to bother going through all these posts because it seems like they all pretty much say the same thing.

I'm a whm 46 and I frequently PL in the dunes, usually one on one but occasionally I'll run out there and help a ls member out (god knows they've helped me).

I don't understand what the big deal is. All of the points any of you have made so far make no sense to me.

You're angry because the PL pulls hate? GOOD! LET THE MOB HIT THE PL'er. If the PL'er is worried about getting hit or killed they shouldn't be out there in the first place and then I hereby validate your point.

What I don't think a lot of you realize also is that dune parties are not always n00b parties anymore. Most of the time people are on their third or fourth job out there, and usually with one or two freinds leveling on top of that. A PL SEVERELY cuts down on time between fights, and also allows the mages to use their MP for nuking, which makes the fights go even faster.

I think maybe you guys have just been PL'd by people who suck at doing it.

As far as reasoning for pl'ing people one on one or two on one, those people are usually friends in the game, and are helping the other person for a REASON. WHM's dont just randomly get up and decide to help someone get a few levels in the dunes, unless they're extremely bored or retarted. I help my static members level their subs )i took mine up awhile ago out of boredom( I help people in my LS level who have helped me before, etc. Its just so much faster and easier than sitting in the dunes and not knowing whats going to happen to you. Especially when you ahve a plan like to take down a BCNM or static or rank or whatever reason.

You see more PL's like that in the dunes now simply because more people are becoming friends and working together for something rather than just hoping to get help down the line. This game works the best for me when i have a whole team of people to work with.. and as part of a team and a whm my job is to help those guys out with their levels when those guys are the ones taking the hits for BCNMS and Missions and AF stuff.

Think a lil before you come down so hard on something.

I noticed that a lot of you who play this game are very parallel in your thinking abotu what has to happen adn the way the game has to be played.
