The Economy on other servers

Hi everyone, I've been wondering how our server's economy compares with the other servers. Seeing how our AH prices are exponentially rising(well not really), I wonder how bad is it on other servers.

My friend who has two characters who plays on the Remora server and ours says that their economy is probably one of the worst by far. you got like emp hairpin going for 2 mil, leaping boots 1 mil and he said the last Kirin Osode went for 100.2 million..... ouch I don't even wanna think of the price of a PCC or other high level gear like Igqira Weskit and Scorpion Harness. I hope our economy doesn't end up like taht.

Seeing how their server is so screwed up how did it end up being like that? do the have more players ont heir servers than us or something? It seems like their Gil input and output is out of wack.
 
To my understanding our enconomey is something like the second best, or around that.
 
Hm... I wonder what an inter-server AH would be like....

Part of it was that our server was one of the lest populated for a long time, so there wasn't as much demand as there was on other servers to drive up prices.

Our economy is definitely one of the best though. I had a friend who played on fairy, and those prices were ridiculus. Over a year ago, when our Raise 2 was only 40k, it was over 400k on that server. Before he quit, a gluttony sword was over a mil and he had about 15 mil after gutting his character when he didn't have any real uber gear.

I've seen the outlandish prices on other servers, and omg, we have it soooo well...
 
It's hard to say why our economy is better than average. One could argue that it is pure luck or unluckiness if you would agree that economies are like computers--99% controlled by 1% of its mass. Other servers have some excuses for being imbalanced. Some are hybrid servers--they do not seem to be faring so well, but their economic forces were really thrown out of whack by integration. Others like Ragnarok had a reputations of being "the" server to go to if you imported the JP verson and spoke english. That may have contributed to its brokenness.

Quetza is unremarkable in history, status, and name. Perhaps that is why it is doing fairly well compared to others. Then again, maybe we simply got lucky. A few founders can determine the mentality of their entire country. The same probably goes for servers.
 
Why is our sever one of the best? I'd say QCDN. :P

Less stupid people going around paying INSANE prices when you got a board that actually promotes intelligence and tells you not to pay 5 million dollars for a 30 thousand dollar car.

Or, it could be people who like to pronounce they're servers name and not have to practice it =P

But yeah, as to the name popularity, people go with the popular name ones, Alexander, Fafnir, Ifrit.... C'mon, I always meet people who say they loved this avatar or that. And if people are willing to pay five bucks more for a pair of underwear with mickeys face on the butt, I'm willing to bet they saw theyre favorite avatars name on the server list and said "I'm so gettin in there" and created/deleted theyre character till they got that server.

Now ask your self this, when was the last time you heard someone say "Quetzalcoatl is my FAVORITE avatar! I used him all the time in FF[number here]" >.>
 
I Promise you it is. Only reason Remora has it so bad all the prices Sky rocketed RIGHT AFTER the Immigration. I remember seeing right after the immigration 4 PCC on AH, and 3 Shair' Manteel's(w/e).

You do not have enough Gil to put this item on auction for that price.
 
except for the fact that you can't AH Kirin's Osode, at least to my knowledge.
 
ive actually heard in some servers ppl will put items such as Kraken Club in there bazaar for 99,999,999,999 and people would buy it :shock:

Well now that Emp pin, Leaping boots, PCC all have a r/ex equal I promis these will fall to nothing. The econmy after this update will really be adjusted to other items.
 
nah it depends on how the old ones are obtained via BCNM or a long quest so im gonna lay low to see what the gilsellers and gilbuyers make of the price to go up or down 8)
