I'm sorry, I'll stop stealing your granola bars. Its just that you always buy Blueberry ones ><

That's almost creepy lol, because I bought Blueberry Granola bars the other day. In fact two boxes of them are sitting in my cupboard.

Not for long >.>;

Ok, work actually turned out to be busy for once, so it's not complete just yet. However, I have a teaser for you. Expect a long, long, long, long chapter once finished.
Enjoy the teaser for those that still read.

Chapter 14
“Prepare…”
“For?”
“He is coming…”
“Why?”
“He wills it…”
“What of his will?”
“It’s stronger than yours…”
“Maybe.”
“There is no question…”
“Why then? Why do I feel this anxiety?”
“You feel what you must. He wills this feeling…”
“I don’t like it. Nothing is pre-ordained. Not even from him.”
“Is that so?”

“Namir!” Namir stared at Diwi absently. “Snap out of it!” He looked around blankly, numb from the cold as the snow flew with the wind ever faster.
“I’m coming.” Namir nodded silently, seemingly puzzling Diwi.
“Humes are so weird!” Diwi chirped. Namir shrugged nonchalantly, in no mood for even a slight chuckle. Namir was scared. Deeply, and horribly scared. He had no idea what Kogi had become. He had no idea what it was he was up against this time. He shook his head slowly. Miyana touched his arm gently, somehow reassuring him slightly. He looked at her. She was cold, but wouldn’t show it. They all were.
“This place…” Namir trailed.
“It drains the very spirit right out of us. Rest easy, what you feel is what we are all feeling,” Gilgamesh interrupted, without looking back. He was leading the group forward. He pointed west, turning around. “There it is, the castle.” Namir looked over, seeing the faint outline of the enormous black monument. It almost glowed with an evil tone.
“Come…”
Namir shook his head again, ridding himself of the image. He grabbed Miyana’s hand tightly, giving it a reassuring squeeze. She nuzzled into him, and let go. Gilgamesh turned back around and took a step toward the downhill slope they now faced, when a great tremor swept through the area. The very ground seemed to pulsate, making the group scramble to stay on their feet.
“Namir! He’s here!” Namir’s head swiveled around violently, from left to right, searching.
“Where?”
“Here!”
Namir had no idea where he came from. Namir’s first instinct was to move, and move immediately. It wasn’t a moment too soon. Kogi’s fist slammed into the ground where Namir once stood, creating a shockwave that sent Diwi flying into Miyana’s arms as she hit the snow herself. The snow sprayed in a violent fit of rage, slowly falling back down to the earth. It was almost surreal as Namir looked up at Kogi while the snow fell around him. His presence was demonic, spewing forth a black evil. His eyes were black, cold and hardened with his spirit. Kogi looked every bit as evil as he did before, only this time he had a pair of Katars at his side. His presence was black, and his spirit outlined it. Namir’s rage burned, as he reached for the Masamune at his hip. Miyana yelled out to him, but he could not hear her. He could see only one thing, Kogi’s devilish grin. Namir snapped the sword out of its scabbard. He looked at Kogi a moment with a burning resolve, swept up in his own fury. It was time.
“Kogi!!”

Chapter 15
Miyana had never seen Namir swept up in so much fury. In a sense it scared her as she watched him mindlessly charge Kogi, watched him charge at that black and horrible aura. Whatever Kogi had become, it wasn’t something Miyana was ready to let live.

“Namirr!” Miyana cried. It was as if she was watching him in slow motion, moving step by step toward the evil being. Namir didn’t care about the deviant smile on Kogi’s face, he didn’t care about his demonic aura. He didn’t care that he was no longer one of Vana’diel’s children. He wanted blood.

“’Mesh ” Miyana whispered weakly, eyes fixated on Namir. Gilgamesh glanced at Miyana, and put a strong hand on her shoulder, ever so softly reassuring her. Gilgamesh inched his face close to Miyana’s ear, his thick white beard softly grazing the side of her head as he did so.

“Lets give our old boy a hand…” he whispered. It was all Miyana needed to hear. The very instant the words escaped his mouth, she was already out of sight.

“Namirrr! ” Miyana’s voice rang out shrill in distance. She was seeing things clearly, she knew exactly what would transpire should Namir continue to charge in his blind rage. All she could do was hope she would make it in time… it was her only ambition, even if it was her last.

Namir charged blindly, the very smell of Kogi enraging him. Swiftly he drew the Masamune, extending it behind his left side as he ran, preparing for his strike. Kogi’s grin was evil, showing no fear, his body showing no movement. Namir was close, footsteps raining heavily on the snow as he charged, making their loud crunches with each stomp. The cold seeped into him, but he didn’t care, he was there. In a fantastic upward ark Namir lunged, sword extended straight for Kogi.

“Got ya! ” His mind screamed, satisfaction pre-anticipated for the blow he knew would land. He could almost taste the sensation he would derive from the blade sinking into Kogi’s flesh. Almost.
Kogi wasn’t there. Namir stared horrified as he began to land, shifting the Masamune into his left hand as he tried to get a glimpse behind him.

“Kurayami no jutsu! ” Miyana’s voice rang out, clearly panicked. She was in a hurry.

“Why? ” He heard a faint puff behind him, and Kogi grunted angrily. Namir hit the snow and turned around hard, only to see faint traces of black smoke disappearing in front of Kogi. Namir didn’t have much time to move.

“Shit, not enough!” Namir couldn’t get up in time, Kogi had already begun his charge. Namir braced himself for the hit that he was sure would kill him, hoping strong that he would live to tell the tale.

“Too late. Over so quickly... ”
Strong feminine hands gripped him suddenly from both sides.
“Wait, four hands? ”

Miyana was in front of him. In fact, Miyana was everywhere around him. Two at his side, and two in front, two behind. Kogi’s target changed, slamming into the first image he saw of Miyana.
Namir wasn’t quite sure what happened in that very moment. He wasn’t sure if it was his own reality check, seeing Kogi coming at him in full force. He wasn’t sure if it was Diwi, cowering behind Gilgamesh as he looked frantic, knowing he could do nothing. He wasn’t sure if it was the cold seeping into his very being. But something about seeing Kogi’s powerful fist smash into Miyana’s skull made him snap.
Namir quickly jumped to his feet, his sluggish viewpoint diminished. He was ready to fight, head cleared. The image of Miyana that Kogi had struck faded in an instant, but there were still five of her.

“Kogi! Your fight is with me!” Namir shouted to him, but Kogi did not respond, he only grinned harder. And then, Kogi was gone. Namir immediately dove to the ground, sheathing the Masamune as he rolled away. A powerful arm slammed into the ground that he was rolling past half a second before. Namir pulled out the Shighetto, but Miyana was too quick, she was all over him. Namir quickly took aim, un-quivering an arrow quickly and drawing it tight. Kogi’s movements were insane, dodging each of Miyana’s shadow puppets, as if it were with ease. His body was almost dancing, Miyana’s katana flying. Namir dropped his bow, and charged with the Masamune, ready for anything. Kogi landed a lucky blow on one of Miyana’s shadows before he got there. He couldn’t help but wince as it took the brunt of the blow. It didn’t slow Miyana down a bit though, she was swinging ferociously, matching Kogi’s speed blow for blow. Namir got within range, and swung in a terrific arc as fast as he could; Kogi effortlessly dodged, ducking underneath the blade, and then clearing the ground completely as he flipped backwards, avoiding three of Miyana’s attacks at one time. One of her shadows jumped on his shoulders, but he was far too fast. Namir, afraid that it was actually her, immediately sprinted and slid in Kogi’s direction, attempting an upward slash one last time. Kogi jumped clear of the blade, even with Miyana on his back, and as he did so, grabbed her leg, tearing her off his back. As Kogi fell he steadied one powerful fist. Namir gasped, the blow was going to be mesmerizing. As Namir dove out of the way, Kogi pulled Miyana down, slamming his left fist into her abdomen hard. They hit the ground so hard it shook, but when Namir looked, Miyana was no longer there. It was just him now, and seemingly just Miyana.

“Cutting it awful close” he noted. Kogi stood still a moment, his devilish grin turned into an evil frown. He was pissed.
“Wait.. there should be two of- “ Namir’s thought was interrupted.

“Katon!” Miyana popped up from the snow, the image of her standing next to Namir immediately vanishing. A bright flash appeared right in front of Kogi, flames bursting hard into him.

“Euagh!” Kogi screamed. Namir was shocked when the flame burst didn’t stop at one ignition, another set of bright red flames circled him as he burned, closing on him and then erupting like a volcano. He would have thought it beautiful if he wasn’t shocked at Miyana’s finesse. She was already close to him, her speed never failing to shock Namir. She had one deadly katana in her left hand. Kogi was in pain, and as he turned around to meet Miyana’s attack, delivered a powerful punch to his mouth, knocking Kogi clear off his feet, instantly she was on top of him, and abrubtly, she stabbed downward, piercing Kogi’s flesh just below the ribs. Kogi screamed in pain as he hit the snow. Namir rushed to finish it off, aiming for his head, when Kogi arched his abdomen upwards, pushed off with his arms, spun around and kicked Namir clean in the neck. Namir was sent spinning away in the snow gasping for air. Miyana hopped back up, going for another stab, when Kogi stopped her.

“Miyana, no!” He choked out. It had only been a slight whisper, his throat still closed from the kick. Namir gasped as he got up, but he would not make it in time, it was already far too late. Kogi grasped Miyana by the neck with one arm. His teeth were bared at her in a ferocious scowl, and for the first time in Namir’s time knowing her, Miyana looked frightened. Horribly, horribly frightened. Namir began to sob on the inside, the deepest feelings of sorrow and dread gripping his heart.

“Miyana!!” He screamed, jumping to his feet and rushing them. He was too far away.

“Please make it! ” He sobbed silently as he rushed. Kogi slowly pulled one sharp katar from his hip. He reared his right arm back, preparing one powerful thrust aimed directly for Miyana’s heart.

“NO!!!!! ” Namir screamed again, echoing loudly off the falling snow and the surrounding canyon. Miyana looked helpless as Kogi thrust forward. She gasped quietly as the blade pierced her chest, blood spewing forth onto Kogi’s face and hand. He pulled the blade out quickly, dropping at his side.
Namir’s entire world shattered. He stopped, horrified, staring at Miyana. She no longer looked panicked, but in pain. Kogi held onto her neck, squeezing tighter, Namir could already see the bruising at the top of her neck from the force of his hand closing on it. She looked at Namir, no longer frightened at all. Puzzled, Namir looked at her transfixed.

“A shadow? ” he wondered, hope rising in his mind. He looked behind him briefly, and saw Gilgamesh, looking sad, nodding his head up and down sternly, eyes closed. Miyana smiled at Namir.

“Goodbye Misterrr Rranger…” she gasped out. Namir began to cry, knowing there was nothing he could do to save her. Still.. he was puzzled by her smile. Blood poured out her wound, but still Kogi held on, clearly begrudged. Miyana looked at Kogi, her gaze turned fierce.

“Yourrr mistake Kogi…” Kogi’s eyes flashed, puzzled, wrought with a sudden fear. Miyana’s body began to glow brightly, flames surrounding her. She was building the last of her energy, all of her reserve into one last attack. Namir sobbed uncontrollably, feeling more helpless than he ever had in his entire life. The woman he loved was dying before him.
Kogi looked frantic, trying to release his grip on Miyana’s neck. His hand would not move.

“Namir! Take cover!” Gilgamesh shouted. Namir dove to the ground, watching through slit lids as he covered his face.
Miyana’s energy exploded around her, a huge flash of brilliant white that rang out violently into the cold night air, immediately vaporizing the falling snow around her, melting the snow at their feet instantly. The explosion tore into Kogi, ripping his upper gi apart, his flesh burned as another wave of it blast into him, searing his flesh. Kogi’s mouth was in that of pure horror, pain, and most of all, surprise. The flesh around the hand that extended to Miyana’s neck was burned away to the bone, as her lifeforce continually smashed into him. Finally it stopped, the radiant flames idly burning Kogi’s body, his arm gave out, and he dropped her, lifeless to the now charred ground. Kogi fell backwards, his back hitting the rugged rock floor hard. Namir stood up slowly. He understood. It was Miyana’s sacrifice to save them. Namir began to sob again, tears freezing to his cheeks as the fell slowly down. He dropped his weapons and ran to her, supporting her head as he got there. The ground was still hot where she and Kogi fell, smoldering and melting the falling snow even after the blast. Namir didn’t care about Kogi.

“Miyana!” He sobbed as he hugged her lifeless head, his tears falling onto her face as if she herself were crying.

“Why did it have to be this way?!” He shouted to Gilgamesh, who began calmly walking toward him. Diwi looked solemn as she followed.

“Namir. It’s over. She did what she felt she had to. You charged blindly in. She wanted to make sure you came out clean this time. The last time you two fought, you were really messed up.” Gilgamesh said calmly. His face was solemn as stone.
Namir looked away, back down at Miyana’s face. Rocking back and forth slightly as he hugged her, trying to ease his mind.
“At least… at least it’s over” he thought, his sobbing continuing.

“Not… yet… Namir.” A stern, solemen voice said weakly. Horrified Namir turned around, easing Miyana’s head down as he did so.

“No way, he couldn’t ha-”

“She.. gave everything for you. But…” Kogi said, pausing to take a deep, painful sounding breath. “It was pointless. ” he finished flatly, sounding un-amused. Namir stared at him as he rose from the ground slowly. His charred body, and the bones of his left hand. It was an image that Namir would never forget, that of pure terror and horror. Kogi stood up, and pointed one menacing finger at Namir.

“You’re next.”
