Worst part is that macro won't even work past the first line :/
So they'll keep spamming it and spamming it instead of opening it up and realizing that they put two backslashes in the ja line...
 
epic is a really overused word. get a thesaurus.

I play DRG/SAM. I will start fights with Hasso Penta Thrust then immediately re penta. The only way I can get away with it is:
- Following the 1st, I always trip my Seigan + Third Eye (which keeps me safe from phys until the next penta)
- Following the second. I super jump.

I alos pretty much only do this in Merit. If it is a more involved fight, I play it cool until I feel comfortable with the tanks hate level. I also have been playing PLD (64 atm) and am quite familiar with the assholes that dump their heaviest dmg at start up. To get the mob's attention back, i pretty well have to expend all my resources (Sentinal, Rampart, flash, toss him a Cure IV, etc...) Though I can get it back, it destroys the flow. Cant chain if I am constantly having to heal, wait for /ja's to reset, or let the fallen members recover from weakened...

As for Macros... well I use only one or two with /p <clever remarks>

I guess what I am getting at... I havent played with either the OP or the PLD with whom he is dissatisfied, but the hole complaint seems irrelevant. If people want to keep clever macro chat in, thats fine, if you are DD and cant see the difference between solo strategies, and team playing, then you will never have a "good tank"
