As if its not bad enough these asshats camp our NM's, now they are farming our normal mobs :( Saw a 2-man crew in Saromugue slamming for Cockatrice meat ! [hmmm] decided to check the AH price history, and oh yeah, we have a winner!
After all this time, and all I've learned, and after just accepting the fact that there is nothing I could do about the NM campers, now this.
At least with this I stand a great chance of seriously screwing up their lives, by outrunning them and outgunning them.

/em just wishes the game could be just that.....a game...... /sigh
 
Muahahahaha I will follow asiamise on her crusade against gil-sellers and bot..... though crusades are called crusades because they are a fight for a good cause gone wrong but I will follow in it!!!
 
Are you talking about a Bot Gil Farmer, or just people farming? I farm in a two man team.
 
She is refeering to anyone whose entire goal is to make gil so that they can sale it online for real money.

Farming is farming. If it is to gain gil for use in game, it's one thing.
If it's specifically made to be sold for dollars, and you see the same bastards teming up all the time...Well, that sucks. :?

For awhile gusgen was flooded with gil sellers, but they've died down alittle, since they figured out having 10 people who only mine 16 hours a day in the same spot was kinda overkill.

Seriously though, it seems like every couple of weeks now i run into a new group of sellers being leveled up. You can tell them by the lack of a subjob until level 30+, they're always rank 1 or 2 at that level, and they play as a static. Then a couple weeks later they're level 50, and they spread out and start camping the same areas constantly. It really pisses me off, and all they do is make the game harder for legitimate players and easier for the pathetic ass people who buy game money with real money. :x
 
Let's not forget about my favorites in Beaduex (sp?) Babylove Mimibaby and Xiaodan are always there camping the same NM for what I can tell if you check the Valkryie Mask at the AH you will see Babylove at least 4 times it seems.... damn gilfarmers... :evil:
 
I frequently farm the same spots, but I don't sell gil to IGE.

I guess there's no problem with these guys unless there's proof they are selling gil for dollars.
 
Saw the Fox- team in Ordelle's today while camping stroper chyme. They continually asked for cures and trained mobs into the zone spot while calling for help to get others to screw up their /targetnpc macros. I really dislike these guys, everytime i passed one and they saw i was a pld they would /tell me with "+hp". Totally annoying, it just pisses me off to see them there.

i was pting with this one gillseller the ohter day, didn't know they were till we got togeather. she spoke one word of english most of the time, "go." and didn't get the concept of healing mp (i was whm) so once i figure it out, (she wouldn't even stop when my friend d/ced) i just logged. with the parting words going thorugh my mind... "later. wish i could stay and watch this orc eat your entrails, but i've got things to do. hope you can heal yourself ^_^"

(note: i didn't do this until i realized that even if for some reason they wearn't a gillseller, they were a total ass anyways)
 
Would you say a person who doesn't have vowels in their name to be a gil farmer? I ran into a guy whose name was like djskhrlp or whatever, and he was in /anon and asked me to cure. I was like, what the heck? This dragoon in 45+ armour can't just sit his ass down? So he asked me again and put that little ? in another separate tell. So I threw him a cure 1 LOL... geez, I'm not going to contribute to your fighting just because you're too lazy to rest. Poisoned is a different story.

But yeah, I don't like the people who farm NM for gil. It pisses me off because then it forces me to farm fior hours and hours to just try to bid on the item at the AH to give the money to them so they can sell it for cash. ARG!!!!
 
i farm the same NM, hoo mjuu the torrent. Why? its how i make money... ive killed him almost 20 times and have memorized everything he does, i have stolen him with dia one, (no AF hat) from level 75 people with voke, flash stun (once i have my hat... not even level 75 rdm can beat me)

this is good money... look in the past 100 sales, im in there 6 times ^^ (i mean 100, not 10 it is not a typo) without this i would be farming cock meat in sauro, ... and i doubt asisa wants that ^^

besides.. i CAN...NOT...FARM i cdant sit there and pay attention for hours on end for minimal profit.... thats minimum wage to me, the way i do it....

im the stock broker, i invest in the stocks (time invested into killing hoo mjuu) and when the time is right (i kill him) i sell the stocks for BIG reward. i bet i could make 600-700k in a good playing day.. if he dropped every kill.... about a mil and a half.

now.... dont touch my NM... because ill hunt you down... i claim hoo mjuu's ass on final fantasy XI's Quetzalcoatl sever!!!!

Furyrush is another of their group. Curious if they are gil sellers or not...

- They farm almost constantly (Korroloka, Beadeaux and Zitah) except for when they're parrtying together.
- The money certainly doesn't go into their gear.
- They seem to be NA (they don't understand Japanese, and don't seem to use Chinese)
- The one character seems to be played by more than one person (Some days Bluelemon is very friendly and chatty, other days she doesn't seem to know me)
- All apart from Bluelemon are constant asses.

They fit some parts of the "gil seller" profile, but not others...

im gonna find another way of getting gil... i cant stand it (>_<)
 
My gil farming places is quite hard to reach and cannot be done alone. The mobs that I fight are usually 65~68+ so they are easy pray ~ Descent at 74. Sometiems you have to really thing on farming places where no one wants to go. Camping crowded places is not fun, and it frustrates more than you need.
And no, I don't camp NMs. The same time invested I can get at least 50k per day which is not that bad. (notice 50k per day not hour)
