The Expansion's impact on the game.

I'm not seeing the influx of people that they banked on 360 bringing in. Right now I potentially see a server migration available or server mergers due to the decline in populations in relation to how many areas you need to populate to keep a flowing economy.

It's been 2 days dude.. Some entire states have not even recieved their shipments of it yet. Dont be so quick to pass judgement..

My store got six of 'em. I'll post something celebratory when they all sell. kekekekekekekeke

Well, we can just agree to disagree and see what happens. Yes chocobos cost money, but not Imperial money. I guess like cop you get what you put into this new expansion. I'm just saying that once the hype dies down the areas will be less visited unless they have some important role, like skys gods or good exp meriting areas. So far theres been no important role.

On another note, stop leveling the new jobs. I couldnt get a party on Nin last night because everybody was out fighting for mobs in the starter zones. Come get XP for me instead.

Yeah EU only got FFXI for 360 today. Give people time to get out of work/school and buy it this weekend. I've seen probably about 10-20 new players in Windy and Bastok today. Not saying they are all 360 players but you never know.

The teleport back to Jeuno doesn't cost Imperial money...

What does it cost, I want to use it! However my gil is in desperately short supply with trying to get the items for my puppet upgrade. Anyone want to sell me an imperial silvercoin?

Not true

I think the expansion is great. In a way I think it makes FFXI well.. feel like a game again. It's fun seeing all us veterans running around like lvl 1 no subjob noobs having no idea what aggros, new jobs, upgrades, items and yelling "ZOMG FLEAS!!!!". I think this is great I am having a blast with it all.

Loved the boat ride btw where we begged people to buy bait and a rod to fish up monsters to see what they looked like. How is that not fun? :)

btw... to all my peoples...

GO GO PIONEERZ!

There are two Al Zahbi zones, one with the port and one with the guilds.

They each have a teleport taru.

The one in the zone with all the guilds is the free one.

I'll drink to that

Yea I have to agree. I sense the game-ish feel again. ^_^
The music and the way a lot of things are set up in ToAU make it feel like to me like its more like an epic RPG vs. an MMORPG.
It must be the music, and all the fun stuff to look into.

The quests are actually kinda fun too.
I thought it was funny when the Galka pumpkin headed thief "Combo'ed" the taru-taru.

As for the aggros, lol I have to agree.
I heard tons of stories where lots of high levels got ballsy to solo something, and nearly died or zoned. lol

But hey SE did state that ToAU was going to be geared for high levels, and mostly uncap related things.

I haven't said this in a long time for a game but I can't wait to go home today, and play. :-D
