Why did Square-Enix have to employ a damn questionaire for this whole
damn quest? I knew they'd find a way to screw it up for me.

Any way to decode the questions that lead to which face types?

Let's say, for example, I want a Mithra with the head F3-B (Face #3, Hair
Color B)... One that isn't used often, the short, NON-ponytail, orange
haired one. (One of the "Shikaree" Mithras has this hairstyle. The one
wearing the Assault Jerkin and Panzer / Panther Mask)

What question would I have to say "yes" to so my NPC comes out as that?

...

And any OTHER combinations for that matter... Anyone know?

Some other results have been posted here. While this system is clever, it is somewhat frustrating to get what you want.

Exactly. And that's what's pissing me off.

I just want my NPC to look how I want it to look. It's already annoying
that I can't give it a name I made up.

Now to get it to look how I want it to look, I need to fill out an entire questionaire?

well i did the npc quest. just wanted to say im disapointed. the npc stays out with you for whopping 30 mins...you cant zone, log, die or click them.

Stays out with you for just... 30... minutes?

I would've atleast thought it would've been Pet / Wyvern rules.

You know. Can't follow you into cities, but is always out in open fields...

...I want to kill Square-Enix now.

i agree lol

Well, thanks to Rones' URL, I've figured out about the hair COLOR...

Bheem asks is the character's hair his favorite color or not (How the hell
would we know?)

But supposedly, if you answer "Yes", it's Color A, and if you say "No", it's
Color "B".

Hmmm...

Do they only give us three head styles or what?

I'd like Mithra F3-B.

When you choose from the list of names, there are 8 names. If you choose the first name, it's face 1, 2nd name is face 2, etc... When you talk to Bheem, Yes is hair A and No is hair B. I figured it would be that way, so I chose accordingly and got exactly the model I wanted. :)

really? its not THAT hard, is it? i mean, i got exactly what i wanted. a blond mithra with a small pony tail... or am i just a simple person?

i dont understand why people hoped so much for these NPCs to be so uber, there just as dumb, dull, and stupid as normal mobs would be, i know i dont ever plan on getting a NPC friend i think its pointless, i rather have REAL people in my party that know what there doing ._.

I gave up on that after I entered the Dunes. (And I find it quite ironic hearing this from a guy who said that Divine Veil was a waste.)

Besides, according to the few people I've heard talk about it, these NPCs have a useful AI and aren't as dumb as one would initially think. And as I think about it, you don't even have one yet, and with the server congestion and stuff people haven't really had a chance to test them out. so how can you be making value judgments already?

The AI party members in Guild wars were very good. If they could even do these 1/10 as well, they would be a nice addition. Right now the huge cool down timer with zoning loss ruins any practical application of them.

Upon further inspection, I have determined that you only get to pick from
three... and ONLY three pre-selected Facetypes.

Names have nothing to do with what your facetype determines. They're
just names.

Me, Gilga, and other sources have been experimenting with this.

I got a Mithra partner, and I figured out what her three headsets are.

(Use the Modelviewer, or Character Creation to see what I mean)

Facetypes 1, 6, and 7.

... I wanted Facetype 3, hair color B.

Gilga chose a Hume Male for his partner. The facetypes for those were
numbers 1, 3, and 7.

... It's going by the most "popular" headtypes. That's probably what the recent Vana'diel census was for.

And as for Bheem, of course. He'll ask is the hair his favorite color... Yes for type A, no for type B.

...

What was mentioned this evening was interesting. That the NPC you flag
this quest from only states the JEUNO list... Presumably, there'll be other
towns?

And, yes, I agree wholeheartedly...

It's been confirmed that you can only call forth an NPC for 40 mins, and
once every 20 hours on top of that.

What I find to be absolutely rediculous is Square-Enix has the GALL to
say that we can "EXP with them", and lay down guidelines that we can
only have 3 REAL people in a party, one with their own NPC for a PT
of 6... If we invite one more real person, all NPCs automatically leave...

I mean, come on... A 40 minute EXP PT, after which, half the PT suddenly
disbands?

<NPC> (I'm sorry) (I have stuff to do, gotta go!)

...

I SERIOUSLY hope Square-Enix re-tools this system.

Some others have reported their npc disapeering after 21 minutes. The time limit for having them out seems very odd.

And my buddy results for Female Hume:
Old man in rulude Gardens asks: "Did she have hair down to her eyes?" This gives you face 1.
Mithra in lower Jeuno asks: "Did she have shoulder length hair?" This gives you face 3.
Galka in Port Jeuno asks: "Did she have a pony tail?" This gives you face2.

Off topic a bit, but has anyone else noticed that Mithra seem to be the most popular race for NPC slaves?

What boy doesn't fantasize about having their own personal cat girl. 8) I would be more concerned if male elvaan or galka were most popular.

anyone know the hume female names?

and is there anything remotly close to Stephanie?
