you think FFXI is now entering its golden age , alot of stuff improved
and most ppl are happy with it

Except for this "connectivity crisis after-update" we are experiencing now, >.>... yeah, I suppose? XD

I'm bored... <_>

The golden age of FFXI is long gone. Long gone.

golden age?? i dont think so. looks more like the begining of the end. :shok:

thats why more people are quiting? yeah right I wish=/

I dont know, I cant seem to get a decent amount of gil for items like I used to, but prices are pretty stable it seems.

prices are stable. money sources arent.

Prices are stable until crafters or RMT get an itchy trigger finger to sell thier items. Then they undercut you by 2k... Pisses me off.

what funny is the age that they called the golden age in history was not really the golden age either. irony? there still large gap though in the money flow item are not selling like they use to so people not making money, but the reason for that is there no longer as many gil buyers buying all the crap. In a few months as long as there are no more major changes the money should catch back up. SE just need to make more items that are not omg take 100 year to obtain, that are worth obtaining.

Beginning of the end nah, they are just making change that they should have made year ago. You asked for these changes they gave them to you, but with change comes a ripple effect. If you remember we said the same thing when the pcc, archer ring, emp pin, ll boot became ra/ex and you see how that ended.

i say its the begining of then end cause Se is putting to much stock into endgame. i fully understand they have to keep theor current players interested. but you know current players will tire eventually no matter what. my concern is fot the noobs comming in and the kids that have yet to even get far enough to resonably consider endgame. if the path to get there is to difficult they will leave and join and easier game. FFXI was built around partying to gain lvls. hard to exp party when everyone is doing engame stuff and not lvling lower jobs right?

I think this is a golden age for game mechanics, I think the long term economical issues of the almost 5 years of fuck ups has gone to far to ever be fixed.

It will take a year or so for the economy to catch up to the end game playerbase. This game is starting to look like WoW, half of the people online are 75... SE needs to throw in alot of low level content to keep the rest of the lowbies happy.

Crafting is my only way to make money, and in order to make decent money I have to sell high and hope for the best ><. Undercuts are what is killing everyone imo.

I agree with the fact that there arent enough low lvl content out there. Everyone out there does have at lease 1-2 75 jobs im almost on 3 and planing to get a 4th to 75 within some months. The think ive been noticing is that newbies now have to solo to almost lvl 20. Maybe if that made some low lvl enms that reward with some nice xp and/or some nice new low lvl ubber items that are r/e and/or sellible. Imagine 1 acceptionaly hard low lvl enm thats about 30 min -hour log that rewards with 4-10k xp that would greatly help new ppl lvl up faster

The low level content is plenty, cause by the time the low level population finishes with it, they'll be 75 and ready for endgame on at least one job. Low level content is designed to be enough for new incoming players. It's the endgame that has to keep expanding and evolving to keep the players who've already "beat" the game happy.

ZOMG ZOMG THE BEGINNING OF THE END! THE COMMING APPOCOLYPSE IS UPON US! REPENT! REPENT!

this is true. The insentive should be to lvl to get to end game activitys. With all the exp bonus and fast lvling areas it should not take long to reach end game. I was amazed how fast my 2nd job war took to get 75. My first job rdm took forever.

Take out the gils factor, and game is getting better and better.

Tho I never weary about gil, I saved up alot of gil when prices were high. I know prices would fall eventuly :p
