The Great Dark Rider! SE's only Undefeatable mob?

Ok yall There has been a debate umong some of the members in my Vent Channel about the invunrability of the Mob "The Dark Rider"

My understanding is that when it spawns it pops a Fomor and an Imp NM as an anturage.

My Question has anyone ever attempted to kill this thing? Was it Killed? did it take damage?

Any info on this mob would be awesome. because i want to prove it to Taisa that it CANNOT BE KILLED

Well, AV is also unkillable, so it wouldn't be the only one. I thought a couple groups had managed to kill Odin though. Or are you talking about the one that spawns the warhorse hoofprint; which was never intended to be fought anyways?

AV has only been killed by a glitch. There were rumors supporting getting rid of Dark rider's underlings making him weaker, however these again are only rumors.

AV were killed a long time ago. Then SE "fixed" him, and now no one can kill him. Apparently not even SE, as they promised us a video of it back in November. Then they changed their minds and said first version update in 2008. So we'll see.

And no, the "Dark Rider" running around outside ToAU areas can't be killed. He takes 0 damage from everything, and casts "Death".
 
Yeah, AV was killed over a year ago by people exploiting glitches that have since been fixed. At present he is completely unkillable.

The dark rider, I don't think was ever intended to actually be fought; he just serves as a spawner for his minions and the warhose hoofprint.

Yes, but its hard to gather an alliance, as its 100% random when and where he will show up. And if you do manage to get one together and spread everyone out, actually getting everyone together to fight him will be hard, as stalling him is close to impossible due to "Death".
 
wiki says he hits for 100% critical, always takes 0% damage, and simply casts "Death"

I had the "good" forture to meet Odin's little Imp friend during an exp party as a ninja in the mid to low 60's. It agroed in the middle of a fight and proceeded to kill our mages before anyone knew what was happening. It was actually surprisingly weak, I had decent accuracy for my level on an Imp and I was hitting moderately well, almost comparable to the exp mobs I was fighting at the time. The only problem I had was he took my shadows completely and without any form of haste, I was left to take a beatting which I did...

As for Odin, I have never seen him roaming around before although I think he was close by since his Imp was there. I don't know why they'd make him invincible though, that rather makes it rather... not very fun.
 
I fought the drk rider once. He was assisted by a demon that owned my pup. Dark rider himself cast death upon aggro.

There's an old thread on KI where it was defeated. A blue mage elemental seal voracious trunked his invulnerability and head butt his death casts. No drops.

That whole voracious trunk damaging it was a joke madeup on bg i think actually..
 
Can his minions be killed?
 
Well in Pchan's SS he is a 75 Pup and you can see in the second SS that it killed him, so it can't be all that week.

Or he might have been on 75Mnk which just make them even harder if they killed him.
 
He was on his PUP I assume, looking at his pet. And I assume it was the WHM head/RDM frame. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it was the Dark Rider that killed him with Death, not the Dark Esquire.
