The Incredible Hulk

It is a new movie but; it takes place with him on the run hiding out. This leads most people to believe it is a sequel.
 
This movie was really great. I'd encourage you or anyone else to go see it. ^^
 
I'm telling you it's a sequel, and is considered a loose sequel, Zak Penn the writer confirmed this. It has homeage to the original, and suited more to the comic, but the director says it's a sequel, which is why they didnt do orgin. By doing away with the origin, and have Banner on the run, it was "loosely" considered a sequel and complete reboot of the series.

Same with Superman Returns. It was a sequel, but they didnt mention the previous movies.

Watched this last Sunday. I've never pay much attention to the comic book movies, but I quite enjoyed this film. (and I vastly enjoyed Iron Man)

One of my favourite parts:

Brief pause
Hulk kicks him into a tree across the university grounds.

I laughed pretty hard at that.

And the Tony Starks tie-in right at the end was a nice touch. No after the credits thing though, I made sure to wait and check.

Aw, I really wanted it to not be a sequel. Now I gotta include his father being the Absorbing Man into this new version. ; ;

Hollywood might be able to pull off a few wins with solo stars that people know and care about, but if they try to do anything with The Avengers it is destined to failure regardless of which incarnation of the group they decide to do it with.

Read on Wikipedia that the word is the Avengers film may be done a la "Beowulf" with the motion-capture CGI techniques.

That could let loose a lot of potential that a live-action film could never do.

Zak Penn was the original writer but when they had Norton sign on he rewrote the script. He made the movie into a reboot. Basically the only similarities between the two movies are that he is on the run in South America.

Wow, this means he saved the whole movie. Norton is uber talented if this is exactly what went down.

Norton did rework the script, funny thing is, they cut some of his script off/left out some scenes which made him mad. Rumor for a bit was he might not do a Hulk 2 or star in the Avenger movie, i think that has since subsided though.

I want to see what they cut and why it made him so mad.
 
saw it enjoyed it, cant wait for the avengers. Just wish they would do captain America movie before hand.

after Mr.Blue created the abomination and got slamed against the wall a drop of the blood he synthesized from the hulk landed on his forehead. And his skull, and im assuming his brain, began to expand. the shot lasted like 2 seconds but it was the first thing that came to mind.

I saw him, but not knowing Marvel I didn't know what he was. Thanks for clearing that up ;P
