Last night I did something incredibly stupid. Something I had swore I'd never do. I accidently bid a lot of money on the wrong item.

I was trying to buy an Amemet Mantle +1, and as always I started low. I made a bid of 500k, much to my surprise the chat log read "You buy the Amemet Mantle for 500,000g".

I immediatly looked to see who the seller was and contacted him. He was levelling in qufim at the time, and said he'd return the money when he got back to town.

So I sat in Jeuno for two and a half hours, waiting for it to end, and he sends me a /tell, saying he can't send the money tonight. He has to go to work, can we meet tomorrow? (all of this was with the auto-translator since he can't speak english)

I tell him ok, not expecting to get a dime back.

So after my various activities of the day (Amaltheia, Escort, etc); I plop down in Jeuno to wait for him to come online. I'm mostly AFK watching TV, but I turn around everyone 10 minutes or so to see if I have any /tells and to search for him.

About 25 minutes ago he logs on, and I send him a /tell.

He immediatly apologize's for not being able to send it last night, saying there was trouble at work.

I tell him it was understood, and he asks if 490,000g is ok (500,000 -10,000 for the Amemet Mantle), I tell him that's fine and he says to wait and he'll send the money.

Well, about 10 minutes go by and I'm starting to think I really won't get my money back, nothing personal against him; I just don't have a pair of rose tinted glasses.

Right as I'm about to /tell him again, asking if we can {Gather Together}, to trade, he send me a /tell {Delivery Box} {Please check it}. He had sent it in full.

He/she may not ever see this, but I felt it deserved to be mentioned anyway. To Yuukicanallia: Thank you. It's nice to know that some people don't take every chance to stick it to someone just becuase it's a video game.

That's good, I'm glad you were able to get your money back, Draciot.

There are still some people with kindness. I /salute Yuukicanallia.

Indeed, and whats more is how often he appologized and actually did what he said. Not many people would do a refund on any item. Thats just deserving of a /salute
