Cleofis' parents decided to flee Bastok after their home was ramsacked by a group of Galkan thieves. At first they moved to the seaside town of Selbina however after Cleofis' mother fell pregnant with Cleofis they decided that the best place for him to grow up would be Windurst, after all they wanted their son to grow up to be a famous mage.
At the tender age of 12 Cleofis joined his Tarutaru neighbours in the School Of Magic. Being the only Hume in the class Cleofis was often given the more physical tasks to do. This eventually lead to the powers that be in Windurst deciding Cleofis should follow the path of the Red Mage.
After graduating at the age of 16, Cleofis with his Adventurer's Coupon to collect some gil to help him on his way, headed out in search of fun and adventure, after all growing up with the Taru's and Mithra does make you a bit cheeky and more curious than usual. Luckily for Cleofis his next door neighbour Xephon The White Mage who was already accustomed with the adventurer's life decided to take Cleo under his wing. The two are still great friends. After a while Cleofis managed to end up in the MagicalMysteryTour where he met Sarabi a well accomplished Red Mage, who has been his mentor ever since.
The adventurer's life hasn't been easy for Cleofis and he recently took a months break but is now back and ready to continue his quest. However he is currently looking to find some new friends as a lot of his friends have now retired and are back in their respective countries leading the civilian life.
