Well the time has come for the rest of my unit, the trail party, to leave Iraq. We will start our adventure back to the states and soon we will be back in the US after many moons of playing soldier in the hot Iraqi desert. Back to milk and rain and snow and cable television and the comfortable beds that we left so long ago to do our part in the war on terror. I have learned alot in the time that I've been here, done many things that I would not of had the chance to do otherwise. I wouldn't trade it for anything. This experience has changed me and I don't doubt that it has changed others as well. There is a saying on one of our buddies laptop that says "Permanent change is instantanious, realizing that you have changed is what takes time." Were we all changed when we exited the plane coming into Kuwait? Only to lie to ourselves that we are still the same person. Or does it truly take time to change, and the realization is instantanious? I don't know where I'm going with this, I'm just glad that after all this time spent here, finally we have our plane tickets back home. <See you again!>

{congradulations} glad to see they are sending our troops back home. i've got more choice words for bush and sending out men over there, but i'm glad to see some of them coming back wOOt wOOt

When u get home are you out or may u have to go back later? Or even if you are supposed to be out are you going to re-sign?

Take care and be safe comin' home Shaun^^. Whether you want to hear this or not, you'll be in my prayers for your safe return home.

Well right now we're in Kuwait....waiting....This country sucks and to use the internet it costs $5 an hour. :( But from what the talk is it should not be long now.

No, I'm not going to be leaving the service anytime soon. My ETS for getting out of the military is June 10, 2012 {Long time} so I have a feeling that without a doubt I'll be back in some strange country that I never intended on visiting in the future. There is still a few moons to pass before I consider a re-up, so I'm not thinking too much about that now, but depending on how it goes 20 years for a decent pension isn't bad. Hopefully I'll see you all in game in a week and a half. Peace from the middle east.

Its always good to see some of our troops coming home. If you get impatiant waiting to come home just put up an umbrella and get some sippy drinks and prtend you are on a really big beach =)

Yeah...I wish. About the only thing that is nice is, today I was walking around in shorts a tee shirt and flip flops. M16 hanging down my back and cigarettes hanging out of my mouth. Well if it gets hot enough then the heat coming off of the sand looks kinda like water. If I was home though, it was 26 degrees F today with a low of 20. That is over 100 degrees difference than what I'm used to lol. It is going to be a long cold winter.

I got a couple friends over there right now all with extended tours... :( Glad to hear some people are getting out of there!

Awesome man. Whether you agree or disagree with the war, it's always good to know someone made it back alive from that hell hole.
