I used to think it was, Antiestablishmentarianism.

so a work collegue and I had a contest.. He tried:

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, like from Mary Poppins. I said it wasn't really a word but we found it to be in the English dictionary.

He then beat me to death with, Pneumono*ultra*micro*scopic*silico*volcano*coniosis, which is a rare form of lung desease. The fourty-five letter word is offically the longest word in the world.

I nearly cried in laughter.

The word doesnt even fit on the webpage it'son.

I thought there was some medical term or procedure, wherein the total count of letters in the word was 1918 or so. Might have been a chemical or chemical byproduct, so I dunno if that keeps it classified as a non-English word.

Or I got owned by some noob who's still laughing his ass off that I believed that load of crap.

That may be the longest english word in the world, but this word is pretty damn long:

Donaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengessellschaft

(Supposed to be no space between "werk")

(one word, no hyphen, 80 letters) "association of subordinate officials of the head office management of the Danube steamboat electrical services"

Those crazy germans

That is a german word actually so it doesn't count towards english. There is one longer than that in German tho. It has something to deal with mad cow disease and the meat.

I heard this a long time ago. They used to put that word on educational kid's shows a lot. I believe I heard it once on the Carmen San Diego cartoon and some other show on Fox that used puppets.
