What do u guys think the most impossable item to have is? I'm thinking after everything i read, its the Ebisu rod.
 
In general or in your own opinion?

Sure the rod is hard to get but we still don't know all the items in the game. like what about AV? no one knows its drops, do they?

but in my own opinion for me the hardest item to get is a nobles >.> its like i'm not mean't to have it lol
 
1. Novia/Novio Earring, any JoL/AV drops
2. Ebisu Rod
3. Maat's Cap
4. Ninurta's Sash
5. Any relic weapon/Aegis
6. Tier0 HQ items such as vulcan's ring*/mahatma cape/dalmatica-1/sheikh manteel/conte corazza/cursed togi-1/etc.
7. Defending Ring and other King HNM low droprate items like certain abjs (so kaiser cuirass and armada hauberk are doubly rare)

missing anything?

*someone pointed out this may not exist

I think you could put Black Belt on that list too.. that things a pain in the ass to get..

Ebisu Rod or Maats Cap. Id say there are no more than 5 of each over all servers. Id say about the same for JoL earrings too, but Id also bet that there will be more of them faster than there are rods or caps now theyve nerfed JoL. Black Belts are at least 100 times more common.
 
Heh, I wasn't arguing that BB was tougher than any of those, I was merely commenting it could be added to Gir's list there... as BB is at least as difficult to obtain as defending rnig

Not even close... BB is not rare at all.

2 Maats Cap

3 Defending Rings

50+ Black Belts


Ive heard of LS's killing all Kings in 1 day and getting someone their Black Belt in a single day. A lot of JP MNK's have their Black Belts right the instant they can equip them. Defending Ring is like a 3% drop rate from King Behemoth where as the BB items are almost guaranteed from HQ Kings and can also possibly drop from their NQ counterparts.

also wanna say that the "ultimate impossible" to obtain item could be damask belt and other items that are in .DAT but never implemented (i believe there was also a lvl 90 robe used in testing that made its way into alla's db)

also, deci, there is one ninurta's sash on our server and closer to 6 d.rings in jeannedearc alone (i have SS of 4 not counting lucifar's)
despite that, bb, though uber, is a bit more common than d.ring, it might make it as number 8 or 9 on my list

Just a note. These do not exist yet. Another .dat file deal. I looked into em, and there is no record of them on any server... but there are records of people HQ'ing the rings... just with NQ results.

And the ultra super mega rare:

Wing

I would have to say out of all of those, the Heim Earrign would be the hardest. In order to attain it:

1) Beat all three promyvions, and allowed access to Lufaise Medows.
2) Have to make sure the Leshy in a particular area (walking trees) have not been killed for 24 hours, so that a NM tree will pop called Colorful Leshy.
3) have to make sure the NM that pops after 24 hours is not killed for another 24 hours(assumed pop condition) to pop the other NM, Defoliate Leshy.

The others may happen to be drops off AV or JoL, and will be attainable. But the patience and understanding required to pop the Defiloate Leshy will never, ever, happen.
 
Question on all these "cant kill the PH" NM's(ie Vilma Ring, Heim Earring)... If you have the thing claimed, but dont kill it for the required amount of time(therefore keeping anyone else from killing it), will the NM's still pop?
 
Phraust, those are some cool items that likely no one will obtain. Though a few people have spelunker's hat from taisaijin and vilma's ring from rose garden despite similar pop conditions.

I forgot to add dynamis lord drops... they're probably rarer than, say, black belt.

Any info on whether these are rarer than d.ring?
 
IMO Maats cap BY FAR. Imagine grinding through allll those levels of every single job, that would be soooooooo impossible (even though it does happen). Thats soooo many hours of dedication to a video game its unbelieveable.
 
JoL earrings isn't that hard to get, he's been beaten on a lot of servers.

I'd say all items dropped by AV is the hardest to get (Aureole, Ninurta's Sash etc.)

Relic Weapons aren't that hard to get as long as you have the gil needed, but if you don't have it, you'll have a higher chance getting AV drops.

I'd have to say Maat's Cap and that rod are up there too.

I'd say its not that rare, its the matter of getting ppl dedicated and trustworthy. Dynamis-Xarcabard isnt that hard and the Dynamis Lord is over rated as long as u have the right jobs and everyone knows their role, and i'm pretty sure he drops one of the other last time I went he droped the mantle its just getting there thats a pain.
