In your opinion. What's the most obscure FFXI area of all time?

The absolute LEAST populated at any given time?

Oldton Movalpolos
Carpenter's Landing
Outer Horutoto Ruins
Ranguemont Pass
The Base of Drachenfall (Absolute Bottom of North Gustaberg)
Giddeus
Yughott Grotto
Ghelsba Outpost
Fort Ghelsba
Gusgen Mines
Ordelle's Caves

These areas need to have naturally occuring mobs. That's my rule.

I would take giddeus, ghelsba outpost, yughott, gusgen, and ordelles out cause lots of people lvl lowbie jobs and get keys there for kazham or RSE. Giddeus also drops Monster Signa.

Rangemount pass would probably get my vote.

Drachenfall is well-known to higher level fishermen as one of the options for fishing up gavial fish. I'd say that Carpenters' Landing is probably the least visited area, or maybe Ranguemont Pass.

Carpenters landing has the WW guild where people go and synth a lot. It's good for making bolts and arrows.

I have been in Wadi multiple times where i was the only one in there. That rarely happens anywhere else...nobody parties there, and you can get better/more consistent exp in Konschtat because of the varying degree of difficulty of mobs in Wadi, even on the lowest level.

level 70ish fishermen, especially of the bonecrafting variety, will make this their home...

Rangemont. theres almost nothing in there of value. Its just a conduit to beaucedine for people who dont have the telepoint

Ive been to yughott grotto exactly three times. Drachenfall only for the water. But ive been everywhere else much more so they win. =p

Write-in vote for Toraimarai Canal.

- No worthwhile XP camps, and BST XP was ruined by the despawn patch
- No NM's of note
- Most non-Windurstians (and really, most Windurstians) don't have access to the zone
- Mostly a conduit to Full Moon Fountain and Fenrir

I said Carpenter's Landing cause you technically -never- have to go there.. every where else is used for something.. quest, mission, job.. CL is .. um.. useless XD
