I forsee niegborhood watch becoming the new place for such rants. The thread about Grayswander is exactly what flameboard threads looked like.
 
I forsee people getting sent the heck home with no ball if they keep trying to fulfill their own wishful prophecies of reviving the flameboard. This is only going to work as much as admin is willing to enforce it and more importantly, how much the members are going to actually try to honor his wishes instead of giving up and overwhelming him.

Quit the defeatist attitudes. Too many people are bringing this down before it has a chance, all just to try to prove themselves right. Trying to get the flames to restart because you think the flames will restart is low denom and you've already seen that it just strengthens his feeling that he was right in removing it.

There's not going to be a new flameboard.

Quoted for truth. I think certain people on here enjoying flaming people, makes them feel all high and mighty so to speak. Also allows them to feel part of the crowd.

All the forums are pretty much a lighter in a room full of gunpowder. One of them is bound to go up in flames.
 
QCDN wasn't perfect when the FB was around, QCDN is not perfect now.
However, the sooner people accept the current reality, the faster we can move on. The FB isn't coming back. FB attitudes are no longer encouraged or tolerated. This is it, there is no other way to say it, no other way to make it more clear. Don't like that? Leave. Plenty of other FFXI boards around where one can try and flame and see what happens.

The NW is new, and things will have to shake out. It it will be necessary to move to a moderation system where post will have to be approved by a mod team before they show up, then so be it.

The NW isn't a free-for-all. In order for it to provide content of informational value the posts within actually need to contain information, and not rethoric or he-said-she-said, or fanboi, or any other related type of non-content.
 
Well, it's rather harsh, but what can I say? There is no way to please everyone, no matter how hard I would try. Some are upset by the changes, that was expected. There is only so much time and attention that can be spend on those who keep saying that the changes suck. A multitude of posts was made by me explaining the reasoning and the direction, there is really not much new information to add to that at this point.

So yes, if what I wrote about how things are remains unacceptable to some, then there is really no other conclusion possible than to make it work for the better or leave.

Meh...I think the FB was the popular forum simply because that's where the biggest lack of knowledge was. You can look up a strategy or question for 9/10 of what gets asked/discussed daily virtually anywhere...but that's just my opinion, and I'm pretty sure Cubs said something of the like (and in a much more sparkly post. =P)

Dood, gilsellers make me so mad. It puts me in a state of high discomfort that is anything but happy, and it is a feeling I do not enjoy. I greatly wish gilsellers would stop, for I do not like what the are doing, and what they are doing is ruining the quality of the game for me though possibly for others as well. I really wish they'd do something else or I'd be forced to take action in means of regrettably training notorious or self-destructing monsters upon them and having them unfortunately mowed down by my claimed mob's uncontrollable attack spam. I do wish the best for them for I know their lives are a hard lot, I just feel they are not taking a good alternative for their life.

I think the point was rant where ever you like as long as you do it in a manner which involves no swearing or racist terms. Or caps. We don't like caps here.
 
It's the internet, who's gonna act civil without choice? I complete my civil duties when I don't piss all over the room of the chick I just slept with.

Wow, Sculli deleted my original post that trippy quoted. I did not realize it was offensive or that it hurt anyones feelings. Anyone have any idea's why? I mean he interjected his opinion on the grayswander thread. I was just telling him why it wouldnt work, which is a valid point, written in a manner not to make anyone cry/slit their wrist. Oh wait, will i get banned for asking this question?

The fact of the matter is that the majority of people that actually contribute to this site do so on the flameboard. What sculli wants it seems is for 3 happy fuzzy people to use this forum to tell each other how awesome they are. He even has told people not to reply to the grayswander thread. So whats the point of having it if you dont want anyone to reply to it?

The whole point is to get problems and misunderstandings worked out. Not to go in with a load of BS and add to the fire. Just post if you plan on helping them fix the problem <even if then> It's basically a forum for the people in wich the misunderstanding happened.
