I'm really beginning to grow a healthy dislike for these things.

So I've been leveling thf in Qufim/Jungles lately. (Shout out to Jender, Kiere, Bigdadddy, Palum, Kicamo and others for some excellent parties)
So anyway, Im seeing these damn Player/NPC parties all over the place. As puller, I see them more than the party, and they are all over killing all the XP mobs. Very annoying. I am admittedly ignorant to the ways of leveling these new NPCs, but can't they be takin somewhere besides traditional party zones? Bat downs or the fields perhaps?

Beastmasters are having a very hard time with these new NPC's. Most people have in fact been levelling them in out of the way areas, like Altep and Yhoator by the tele crystal and outposts. Problem is these are the preferred camps for low-mid level BST. It's hard enough levelling off EM-T mobs your entire career, but now we have to compete with level 75's destroying every mob in sight for their new playthings. :? Seriously, I dunno what it's like now, but for the past 2 weeks there wasn't a mob in sight anywhere within a huge radius of Rabao thanks to these guys.

Only upside I see is that these things can't be played with for more than 30 minutes at a time. Course, that doesn't help when there's just someone else ready to move in with their butt-buddy (as I've heard several BST's call it, heh) at any given time.

In my bst LS there is one guy who pretty much never isn't dealing with people leveling NPC's. I wont go into detail about the explitives etc. that he yells out but it definitely seems frustrating. In Altep he got Anticans dropped on him alot, in Kuftal and the Jungles he got alot of people (multiple Hi LVL NPC levelers) clearing entire BST exp zones.

I havent had a run in with them yet. But post Leave it must be ridiculously annyoing to have your pets/prey constantly eaten up at a pace you cant compete with. The only solution is to do the very dangerous "scorched earth" tactic which is do some amount of damage to a good amount of mobs in the area so others cant exp off of them.

BST's deal with a lot of crap already. Now it just continues from the party zones to the secluded zones.

Well, since they can't even be called in half the zones in the game, npcs really aren't the end of the world.

kuftal doesn't allow npcs to be called and I very much doubt he got anticans dropped on him by npc levelers. Your average npc leveler is going to spend 20 min leveling per day, and isn't going to be dropping mobs on anybody. They go to the zone, kill their 20 mobs or so, and then leave.

I dont remember exactly what that one zone was I thought it started with a K lol I must have been mistaken.

Altep: I guess this guy leveling his npcs kept getting trained by anticans and zoned them, on there way back they ate him up.

Since many people don't play BST, I don't think that ppl with NPC's lvling in Altepa and Yhoator know where BST xp at. Every job except BST lvls in the same areas of the same places, whereas BST's are different, so it's not common knowledge that where they happen to be lvling their NPC just so happens to be a prime BST xp area. I'm not saying that it's right to go around an area killing every mob in the hopes your NPC will lvl, I'm just saying that ppl aren't doing it to be assholes or anything, it's just ignorance. I could be wrong, however. Just my 2 cents.

IT's just frustrating when you send them a tell saying "Excuse me I'm trying to Lv here and I can't really do it with you killing all my pets. Could you please find somewhere else." and they don't give a damn... I remember LVing two weekends ago in the jungle and having some asshat RDM come trolling along with his NPC maulin over the crawlers I had to use after I would release them.... Got me killed and I finally just had to log out.

Beaucedine Glacier, Xarcabard, Uleguerand Range.

These are pretty much the 3 zones you should be leveling your NPC in, as they're out of the way of everyone, even BSTs. Occasionally theres a BST in the entrance of Uleguerand, which means exp your NPC off Rabbits/Buffalo down the first ramp to stay out of their way.

Glacier could be a good zone for a BST to exp in, with all the tigers around, but it's usually completely empty.

I don't know why they would waste time in kazham's jungles. Your npc starts at lvl 30, so that kills anyway point of lvling right near kazham. If you are going to get a tele yhoat, you might as well get a tele vahzel instead and kill some stuff out there. At worst, each npc exper is only getting 20 kills and leaving.

Now if I could just figure out what to kill after skeles. Demons in xarcarbd take too long and skeles are only even-T to my 43 npc.

With so many un-tapped exp zones that exp parties already avoid, I don't see why people would choose to HAVE to COMPETE for mobs in an already populated area. EXP parties are almost forced into these areas so why bother going to them? If I was levelling my NPC, the Citadel would be almost the LAST choice to go to.

I don't think these people that are leveling their NPC's in pre-level 30 areas realize that the NPC's start at 30. Hell, you can go right outside of Jeuno (minus Qufim) and get a few levels

They couldn't lvl in qufim even if they wanted to. You can only exp it in zones where you can't cast escape, don't need sky access, nor cop. Thus that rules out the vast majority of exp zones.

I can understand how annoying this is for bst.

Also, I'd like to point out that not everyone leveling their npc is 75. My highest job is 46 but I've been leveling mine in battalia. I debated going to kazham and doing Sahagins right outside the grotto but i'm not sure if it would get the best exp there. I've also got myself killed a few times trying to solo things, lol. So Xarcabard is kinda out of the question for me yet.

server too crowded lol, theres only so many mobs.

you can lvl your NPC in qufim, there's where i first took mine, lvl off giants ^^

I lvl my lvl 44 NPC in Yhoatar on the gobs near Ifrits entrance. Its always empty so it seems like a nice place to lvl them ^^

By the time they're killing it's too late to go to another zone. If you zone, you lose your NPC (at least that's my understanding) so all they could do would be move somewhere else in the zone.

I level my npc on spiders in Altepa. Xarcabard mobs are still too risky, but now that my npc hit 35, I'll probably be forced to go there. I try to show respect to exp parties and beastmasters, but I won't yield if I was there first. There are lots of reasons a player might need an area's mobs: exp, farming, skilling up, and now levelling npcs. All of them are equally valid use of a zone. EXP never has and never should take priority over the rest. First come, first serve. I'll never leave an area I'm using because some other people feel they're more entitled to it. If anything, that would spur me on to double my efforts out of spite.

Yeah, whoever said something about zoned antica, you can't zone while you have your NPC out because the NPC will leave. So you can't zone antica with an NPC out. =p and if you do, you're gone afterward...
