I just stumbled upon this today. Allegedly slated for release around Thanksgiving.

No Soma. No Belmot. However, we get a Morris again, from the Sega Genesis game. And a new character family. It's going to play out a lot like Julius Mode from Dawn or Sorrow, the ability to switch between them. As well as the added feature of combination attacks.

The biggest highlight though, is Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support. Featuring Story Co-op.

Co-op games are always sexy. There aren't enough of them.

Rather Possibly Featuring Story Co-Op. It's still undecided what the Wifi Connection will be used for, but it definitely will be used. But Co-Op is one of the options they're considering.

I LOVED Juluis Mode. It was a great concept and I'm glad it looks like they're using it full-time in this new game.

The only two bad parts about Julius Mode was that it sucked in Aria of Sorrow, and Soma was an utter dick as a final boss in Dawn of Sorrow.

Aww man wtf no Belmont? I'm still going to buy it though.

Yeah, Julius mode did suck lol because you weren't able to equip him and all that good shit a main can do. Only thing great about it was the old school Castlevania music :D hells yes memories.

I like the heart of fire music i still turn on my DS(regular) to listen to it

back on topic:

Julius was pretty powerful but very limited in the Aria of Sorrow haven't played Dawn of Sorrow though >.<

If they make his abilities more flexible(read:worth using) then he can be better used >.>

Haven't heard about this new one, must resist....Wii.....

Morris are American(Texan) Belmont descendants.

The Belmont Family tree is pretty fucked up, actually. Mostly because of Alucard's branch jutting into it. But theres a whole bit of Belnades blood being mixed in to it, and theres 2 seperate Belnades women who enter in to it. Sypha, and one unnamed. Possibly Yoko too, but theres no CastleVania game that goes further in time than the Sorrow series, so theres no future Belmont character backstory yet.

Dawn of Sorrow's Julius mode plays out like Castlevania III.

Julius has Axe, Holy Water, Cross-arang, and Cross Crash(The one where he floats and annihilates the area.) Can brandish the whip and swing it around like Richter from Symphony of the Night. Best range attacks, second best defense. SLOWEST. RUN. EVER. Once you get Yoko, you pretty much use her for moving.

Yoko has a fire spell, ice spell, and lightning spell. Really, the only one worth using is the ice, unless it's a monster immune to ice. Her Melee attack restores a slight bit of HP as a special bonus. Worst Defense, but has the quickest crouching attack, and longest distance backpedal. Doesn't have a downward kick. Don't think she can double jump either.

Alucard has Bat Morph and Hellfire(Short distance teleport/fireball attack.) He has is teleport slash from Symphony of the Night as a special attack. Best Defense, and quickest recovery when hit. He also has the most access to the castle because of Bat Morph and Super Jump. Can sit in chairs, but it's pointless because they didn't give him the ability to recover HP while doing so. Alucards only real drawback is that he can't slide. He has the shortest backpedal, but it's usually enough distance to get out of the way.

Unfortunantly, theres no Grant descendant around to reunite all 4 charaters families from Castlevania III. If there was, he'd probably be the only character people would use because he'd most likely retain Grants ability to get around places.
