Has anyone gone to see this yet? If you haven't, I suggest doing so, I had high hopes for it since Jim Carrey was playing the main role and I was definitely not let down in the least.

For anyone that hasn't heard much about the movie, it's pretty much about a dog catcher who gets a book on his birthday and the book completely warps every ordinary aspect of his life, he begins to see the number 23 everywhere, if I go any further I'll start to ruin the movie, so I'd better stop there.

This movie definitely exceeded my expectations, I usually hate going to the movies, but I'm glad I went to see this one, even if I'm seeing the number 23 everywhere today (before and after the movie) XD

In addition, if you're easily sucked into superstition and such, you may want to go into watching this movie with one piece of advice: it's just a movie about a book, both being fictional works, nothing more.

someguy in my English class was talking about how amazing but creepy it was but I usually wait for stuff to come out on dvd.

sounds interesting though

My friend told she thought it sucked, but she's weird. She doesn't like Scrubs and she's constantly going to Starbucks.

yeah I'm kinda skeptical it ripped hardcore on the reviews for the sites I go on

I saw that movie. I thought it was great. Jim Carry played a good part in that movie. I haven't seen him that serious before. Course I haven't seen all his movies either but it was still different. I like those brain twister type movies as long as its understandable and not something off the wall. But yeah, its also one of those movies where if you reveal the end, the entire movie is ruined. Quite eerie how I saw the movie on the 23rd at the age of 23 through 23rd hour of the day (if put in military time lol).

I love Jim Carey, absolutely love the man. I figured he'd be great in a role like since it seems he would be able to pull off the crazy/panicked angle so well. Looking forward to this movie.

And oddly enough, 23 has always been my lucky number(since it's my birthday) <.<

Regardless of how good the movie is, I don't like when comedy stars take serious roles =/ I'll spend the whole movie waiting for a punch line.

Yeah this is one I really wanna not wait to come out on dvd to see. I love this sorta movie, the wierd twists and supernatural aspects and everything. I love the fact that Jim Carrey is playing a serious/crazy psycho role too, unlike Wes I love when they do that. Man on the Moon, that one movie about the bubble dome, I thought he was fuckin great in.

The Number 23 was excellent. Jim Carey is really good at doing serious roles, much like in The Majestic. 23 really makes you think as they're going into all the ways 23 added up in his life. I found that my birthday, 11/21, adds up to 32, and reversed it's 23 (it works only because it worked for them in the movie :P).

And if you guys liked seeing Jim Carey in a serious role, I highly suggest checking out The Majestic. It's about a movie writer who ends up falling in a river and washing up in a small town without his memory, where he's mistaken for a guy who went to WWII and never came back. It's a really good movie.

It seems to me that this movie is like the movie Pie. In that if you are looking for patterns in the world (i.e. the number 23 appearing everywhere) you'll find them everywhere. Like it will take you 23 steps to get to your car from your door, or it takes 23 seconds for your desktop to fully load, haha.

I really wanted to see this movie, especially since I thought it would be incredibly interesting to see Jim Carey play that serious of a role. Thinking about it, my number is 22...most of the important aspects of my life add up to 22...

My birthday is 7/15. 7+15=22
I was born at exactly 8:30. 30-8=22
I met my girlfriend on December 10th. 12+10=22.

There are a couple others, but I can't think of them. Bottom line, I wanna see this movie. lol

Everytime I see Jim Carrey all i can think of is "Alllllllllrighty then", thus ruining any attempt at a serious role in my head. Sorry Jim, I loved you too early.

I dunno, everytime I see Jim Carrey, I think of Fire Marshall Bill.

Jim Carrey has not made a bad movie ever (Cable Guy is the closest to being bad and I found it good).

I thought Number 23 was gonna be a weird one, but after reading your comments I'm going to watch this one on the movies. ^^
