Tazzylynn has taken over the FFXI parser, and has agreed with me to setup this thread.

This thread is for any support questions, ideas, recommendations, or etc for the parser.

Off topic posts will be removed.

Thanks.

If I'm viewing the Summary page, Tazzy's parser doesn't auto-update. I have to switch to another tab then back to Summary to have it update.

That's the only beef I have with this one. Maybe also enable the XP counting and XP/hr features as soon as the user clicks "Start Parsing", rather than having to enable those manually.

Where be the link to this parser? :)

Hey Guys! Neo Thanks for setting this up for me. I'll be happy to answer everyone's questions and take the time to check out new requests and bugs that you guys find.

CmdrFly - I Noticed that during the last update I released. I have got that semi-fixed in the next release. I'm still working on getting it completely fixed before the next release. The enable EXP/hr function is a good idea. Would you suggest maybe a pop-up asking to Enable or just doing it at "Start Parsing"? The reason I ask this is because there are times when you don't really need to log exp/hr in places like Dynamis, Limbus, HNM's, etc.

Personally I'd like it to be turned on when I click "Start Parsing". It's never worked at all in the old parser, so even during Dynamis / Limbus / HNMs we have always seen it return as 0s. Having these features enabled by default won't change much to the endgame activities since they'll return 0s like they always have.

It's soooo nice to see those things work for a change. Thank you for taking on the project.

Add in a chatlog. I might have not updated and got one if its been implemented. I find it useful to know whats been said in areas with a high chatvolume. It's also very useful for finding out when you missed a giant ls orgy by going to sleep.

I'd want to see more parsing possibilities, like ammount of critical hits compared to normal hits. Would also be nice if he could fix the "Gathered log" thingy, since it doesn't really save all of the logs, only an empty file... atleast for me <.<

Wonderful Tazzylynn! Thanks for your efforts.

I like to set the -g parameter in the shortcut to automatically begin gathering. Documentation of these types of parameters would be nice.

Also when it's in gather mode, and you close it, it gives you a message to contact you with an error report. I don't always check my logs, and would rather just shutdown my computer. It's kind of annoying to have this error prevent the computer from turning off.

Add in chat log, and when in jp it will translate it. I got the script for it on some software i got if you want to add it.

That would be awesome. I actually implemented the chatlog in version 7.1.0 that I released this last Friday. So being able to have it auto-translate the JP would be great.

The main reason it does that is so that people will hopefully send me their error logs so I can work on the bugs that are logged there.

Uzor I'll see what I can come up with. I want to get as many bugs out of the program before trying to add any new parsing options.

CmdrFly that is a simple change. I'll try it out on the new version I'm working on.

CmdrFly what I did for your suggestion was to add an option in the Options menu that basically is a default setting. It will by default be turned on to enable the exp/hr logging. However for those who do not want this turned on the minute they hit "Start Parsing" they can turn it off and use the buttons.

Taz u got msn i found the files and can send u them

Heres an abstract, but concrete idea (odd but true): Add a gil parser... just for those times when you go out and rape and pillage some giants for about 100+ gil per kill. Itd be nice to know how long it takes til I have enough for a PCC if I just kill giants ^.-

There is actually a section in the parser titled "Loot" This section will break down how much gil you recieved total but not per kill. I don't know if that is feasable at this time. I can check into it though.

1.8mg for the codes etc but the software u need to run it on is 24megs from mircosoft

If you were told to email me the error log:
Simply e-mail me at [email protected].

What To Include with the error log email:

1. If possible a .prs file from the session

2. The error.txt file

3. The FFXI Logs from the session if possible

4. What version of the parser you are running.

Excellent, thank you. Is this new version already up and waiting for my meat, or are you waiting to compile the other features in before publishing the next ver?

I'm not in any rush, just curious... can't check your site here from work.
