The Original Prince of Persia

[Tyrath]

Anyone know where I can find a download for the original Prince of Persia game?

The one where you had 1 hour to beat the game or you had to restart all over again?

It looked like this:

I played it a long time ago and was on like level 10. Now I wanna go back and beat it >.>

PS. I don't think dling this game is illegal...but if it is, lock the topic <.<

I didn't get past the first level as a kid cause I couldnt find the jump button even if my life depended on it. Yeah.. I suck.

Well, your question is problematic in that there are different "versions" of even the original. Are you talking about the NES one? That's what your screenshot looks like, to me, but in the most technical sense ... the NES iteration of the game wasn't THE first. If you were playing it on an old Apple II, that's another story.

At any rate, oldschool Prince of Persia is certainly abandonware at this point, but I'm not sure if it's officially been made freeware. Depending on which version you're aching for (DOS, Apple II, etc), I'm fairly certain you'll need an emulator of some type ... while that's not technically illegal in and of itself, it certainly edges closer towards that area than might be allowed here.

I originally played the DOS version I guess. I found plenty of downloads for that and other versions, but they all ask for the Prince of Persia disk...and I didn't even know the damn game had a disk >.>
