pavlov did experiments in conditioning and responses by conditioning a dog to salivate at the sound of a bell by giving it food after each time the bell was rung, eventually the dog would salivate at the sound of the bell even without the meat

the person below me is much relieved by this info

I call bullshit, he didn't win the Noble Prize for this, he won it because of his studies of digestion -- and, it was in 1904. The conditioning part was just a plus he got to discover, but it was not what he was studying while doing the experiments.
