The Person Below Me.

i dont see anything wrong with it. i find it nice that when i'm sitting board at work i can find something fast and easy the read, learn a little bit about the people of qcdn sometimes also. i for one would be upset if it was locked or deleted. i dont spam whore all day in it, i might go back and forth a little bit with someone because that's fun to us. i dont really care what you think about it, and i really doubt admin with block it because 15 people dont like it.

No, if I was being a PC whore, I would have played along and answered every other one. I just get annoyed when I see the General topics section has new posts only to see its only the person below me thread. Its gotten old.
 
Back in the early days of QCDN there was no 'person below me' thread or anything like that. The rationale was that I would not allow post count bumping. The thread started while Pupusa was on the helm, and now that the board has matured some, post counts have become largely irrelevant.

I can see both sides of the issue. Some enjoy this 'game', and some find it annoying that it flags General as having a new post even though that is the only one (how often does that actually happen?).

From an admin perspective I don't really see a justification to lock the thread. Post-count bumping doesn't seem to apply as the posters do make an effort to be funny, and while their sole purpose may be to increase their post count, they do provide a certain entertainment value, if only to themselves.

I could perhaps be coaxed into moving it to Off-Topic, as could any of the General mods.

Oh no, I'm a noob! I really don't care about the post count, I'm just annoyed at seeing it when I'm expecting to see somthing of susbstance.
