i don't know what it is with Red Mages lately but its very annoying.

atleast 70% of the parties i've been in with a RDM, the RDM has blatantly sucked. last night's PT and the 2 RDMs we were unfortunate to invite was the final straw.

Morcheeba: this RDM wouldn't refresh the paladin and rarely healed, which resulted in the paladin's death. then instead of healing the warriors which are now tanking she casts raise on the dead paladin and down goes another party member. after being chastised she warps away and disbands. oddly enough we should've known we were in trouble when she said that this was her first PT In a month because it had been hard to get a PT because she thinks she had a bad reputation.

so we get another RDM

Revear: never dropped below 90% mana. (blm had to do most of the healing)
pretty much spent most of his time standing there doing absolutely nothing

at this point i had had enough, found a replacement and made him aware of the situation because i'd hate to be invited to a PT that had jackasses like this in it

how are these horrid players leveling up? the only way i can imagine is people tolerating their lack of interest in even attempting to play their job because they toss out the occassional heal and refresh. it wasn't as if these RDM were trying and not knowing how to play, they simply weren't playing for the most part.

so i'd like to give a big fuck you to anyone who tries to play like this, i'd rather not get any exp than help you get a meager amount and allow you further up the level chain to hinder and annoy more PTs

doh! yeah, i guess it was too much warcraft for me, even after quitting for the 3rd time i'm asked to play my friend's shaman for raids >,< so its hard to change vocabulary.

like when dying, you'd "release" and then run back to your body. i said that once in Yhoator and the PT was like "wtf are you going to release?" haha

and...seeing as revear has 2 75 jobs (that i know of) i can tell you with confidence that he's not a horrid player so GTFO with that nonsense

I promise you it's not just RDM's. My last party on RDM I was refreshing 4 people, Hasting 4 people, while the WHM just threw out a cure every once in a while. My MP was constantly dipping into double digits until I finally just quit casting Refresh on the WHM and dropped myself from the Haste rotation.

I had to stop leveling PLD at 69 because I got tired of mages that wouldn't Haste, Erase, Silena, Barfira, etc... I had a WHM at 65 that didn't have Stona.

You get so many useful spells as any mage. People really ought to use them.

You'll notice a period between those two sentences. They are useful, since they can make the distinction between two different ideas. Now I'm not the grammar Gustapo, hell i can't spell for shit so I'm just trying to clear things up for you.

by 70% i meant that out of every 10 PTs i've been in with RDMs, 7 of them sucked.

the game isn't hard, there is minimal skill needed to play. the RDMs i'm talking about obviously weren't even trying and my flame is more against people who take advantage of a PT, leaching exp while putting minimal effort into said PT, than the individuals themselves. their names were used mainly to warn others.

so does having multiple jobs at Lv75 mean that it is impossible for you to purposefully play like shit?
