well....

It all began one day, the day of 4/20 i had taken the day off everything was going great. well, i decided i'd head out and pick up the expansion pack. Well i got out there and came to discover that over 4k copies had been sold just by the best buys in my regin alone. SOOO i got my 2 pc copies well now to find the ps2 right? WROOONG!! I went to about 10 different places looking. all sold out SHIT!! the weekends coming up. SO, by now it was friday night and the weekend was nearing.

So sinec i haden't been able to locate a new copy anywhere >.< i had to settle for an imidiate solution. XBOX 360 :/ they didn't have the premium bundle :( so i had to buy the hard drive (actually i bought it cause i didn't know if i needed it or not lol) anyways this expansion has cost me $600.00 which is just plain rediculas. but i do have a xbox 360 now.

I'll buy your X360 for $299 shipped whenever you are ready to sell it in a week. ;)

Absolutely. I had *tons* of issues with the updates. I would get somewhere between 70% - 90% and then I would get a POL error. -_-

When I got home from work, I tried 5 different times before I said screw it and went to bed. I tried it twice the next morning before heading into work.

Thank god my bf loves me and kept trying it while I was at work so it finally worked when I got home. I would have probably broken the nice new computer he built me otherwise.
 
At least you got a PC version.... i'll go buy a ps2 version and i'll trade you for it lol
 
lmao passions you bought a 360 for one game, so did i halo 3 when it comes out nothing else lol

LOL! I got 2 of 'em actually - one for me and one for my bf. The store I work at is in a strip mall right next to an EBGames. They only got 4 PC Versions in, and they reserved 2 of them for me even though I didn't preorder. All about the ppl you know... LOL

/comfort Look on the bright side. At least some of the traffic in new areas will have subsided and you won't have to deal with the horrible PC lag...
 
I guess I should buy all the copies the local Gamestop has and sell them on eBay for like $50 each.
 
Allow me to reiterate something I said in a different thread regarding FFXI and ebay:


Not a good idea. If you read the game boxes, on the bottom they say:

"NOT VALID FOR PURCHASE IF OPENED.
NOT FOR RESALE BY A PRIOR OWNER."

Ya know why? Those nice little registration codes you have can only be used once. So if this dude sells you the game, but already created an account, the registration code is useless.

UNLESS you get him to provide the account details. Assuming he cancelled it, so you can reactivate it. Its all complicated.

All and all, not a good idea.

Its on the bottom of the FFXI box, the CoP box, and I assume its on the bottom of the ToAU box as well.

So its not a good idea, as you can be labeled a scammer before even selling anything.
 
I don't get it. I'd just say that it is a "new in box" never opened copy.
I would buy them for resale, and I wouldn't consider myself a prior owner as I didn't open it and thus didn't agree to any TOS or EULA or whatever. I am as much a prior owner as EBGames or Amazon is.

Now ... provided you did this and a SE-type noticed it, could you not be held accountable legally for resale if you charge more than the retail price as you planned? Let alone not being a liscenced vendor ....

i mean, I'm sure this stuff happens alot, but couldn't you end up on the wrong side of the law provided they gave a crap?

May I ask WHY you need so many copies of FFXI? Are you schizophrenic? Do you log in as three separate accounts? Why spend so much money on a video game?

I am sure if you waited less than a week, they would have more PS2 copies.
