fyi, kay usually keeps teron in summer fest clothes kind of his signature clothing

I got my af feet done and in my hands but it was only the beginning...for now thanks to that lucky 100cc fund which a small part went to the materials needed to craft the rest of my armor except the hat.

another fun and random zaltana dynamis, apparently he's trying to gain kay's favor and get a shot of me dead for her @_@... I died from poison or something and was stunned by sweep of course when I get afked about 5 minutes later

least i got to use chainspell on something fun, always liked CS > Raise but only so many want r1 for obvious reasons lol

zack asked so i changed=0 first and last lsmes i'll make probrably lol

and here we start the CSes for the next af section which would be the af head, once again the cses tell it better than I can unless some point is missed out i'll edit it later

in case you're wondering about that red spot, that's the ahriman lense put inside of a blue mage to make him able to learn monster abilities along with other things

the long and annoying wait for crafted pieces begins...i guess it's better than key and coffers not really sure yet

first orb run

i did better than I thought I would considering I've had more practice with thief than drk, just a little too exposed at times(read: trouble recasting utsu)

just wish dread spikes was on a shorter recast time and lower mp, if it only takes up to half of your max mp

didn't help that the dragons were dark based, dark magic only does so much against it >_>

ehehe...good thing i got a buffer on kay's drk lol

mmm...only using /nin with full drk buffs does guillio crit? just think it did since i have no double attack.

kay's drops^^ i thought they weren't so much but until I checked ffxiah.com they turned out to be a pretty penny, not bad for a ks30 i guess i looked at the drop list and got fairly lucky

we took a small break and i got another one of kay's orbs and switched to thf, drk wasn't cutting it for that bcnm absorb tp returns were horrible, some stuns didn't land, and some absorbs were resisting. With thf I could back up tank and deal damage at a safer level

run started smooth as usual lol, but something happened and minstrel came back

i love voidsong...ate my(well kay's) damn sushi! At least it took him awhile to kill me with kay's evasion setup >_>; I felt kinda bad that I was the only person that got something from these runs, so I tried to go the extra mile just in case some chance of recovery was possible...which there wasn't lol

have to apologize here and a few other times...friends say when I get nervous about something I tend to get bossy/pushy

well another run done, kiting up and down ramp seemed to work well, now it was time for kay's second orb

feh i hate chaos blade(read: goes through shadows bitch!), has nice range

talking to brutus for my beastmaster af1 axe, i had saved the key from ages ago so all i had to do was pop the chest and it was mine pretty much

and i got my axe, I decided to finish the rest of my blu af hat quest with the rest of the af crafted and in my hands it was time to close the deal

if you read the chatlogs of the previous sses you'll know what's happening if not it'll be resaid in a bit

well he starts to act a little funny and dark magic farts all from him and he jumps into the ceiling and disappears...

Ok I guess i got all of the cses done!(read: a bit disappointed)

so i garnered up some cannon fodder to make sure i don't take any hits and i buffed them all up..

this makes me think of the claymore storyline, have the beast or demon chopped up and different parts of it put into you to be stronger but eventually you lose to the beast.

after rushing the guy, in about 2 minutes we had some fresh squid sushi...zombie human; but the longer you leave a soulflayer alive the more trouble you're asking for so it's better to just get it over with. Thanks for the help guys and at the last minute too.

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed doing blue af the cutscenes are awesome, the way SE integrated this job into ffxi was interesting, almost parodic without the humor. The clothes and style hint Semitic culture and Islam but the portrayals of character are of different nature, it's more secular with the blue mages rather than that of people.

I know SE didn't purposely implement this to make us think since...their way of thinking can be holey at times with logic of monster names and such. A common theme just struck me during these quests
