The Rapture

I was just pointing out that people during The Great Flood were mocking Noah and continued doing what they were doing. Like whats happening in this thread right now. Alot of Blasphemy. Pretty sad, but thats another sign of the times.

Jesus said it would be like in the days of Noah. Thats what I was pointing out.

Hmmm..... because the Flood happened? Damn I might have missed that in my geology&history classes.. maybe Ron Hubbard talked about it but I dont read that kind of "litterature".

And in response to some ppl at the start of the thread about the French, the US army force, the bombs, the threats, etc :
You think everyone fears you because you have a bazillion bombs, ships and airplanes? Wow, think again boys.
Didn't 9/11 teach you anything? You can protect your territory and invade as many countries as you want, you'll never be able to defend yourself properly against terrorist attacks and viruses.
But go on this way, stay in your ivory tower, harder will be the fall.

How can anyone know the bible is actually real? For all we know it might aswell be the first fictional story, like "Lord of the Rings" (might be a bit extreme, but yeah). It have everything a good fiction needs, a protagoist, a hero, a antagonist, and a problem the protagonist faces that the hero helps us with.

No one else sees that?

Just pointing out what the bible says. I do really do fear the end is near. I am not trying too flame you just want you too see this and others. Satan is out confuseing people and he knows that his time is almost up. I just don't want you too believe it's not going too happen just because a book disscussed a possibility or set a date.
Not to insult you or anything, but the bible is still just a book. Just how you said "I just don't want you too believe it's not going too happen just because a book disscussed a possibility or set a date." I could say the sam to you;

I just don't want you to believe its going to happen because a book discussd the possibility or set a date.

Also, don't every religion with a god believe in their god alone? The only real exception to this is Hinduism, since they believe in several gods and are open to all other religions. Although you might dissagree, since Jew/Islam/Christianity have more or less the "sam" god more or less, just their own view on it. The thing with religion, is that people need answers for everythign in the world, if they don't have an answer to a question, they go crazy from thinking, mainly because we're just not smart enough, and can't find an answer.

Don't get me wrong, I respect peoples religions and beliefs, I'm just pointing out something that has been irking me when I talk to christian people. Religion is needed in the world, as it lays the moral grounds for society. I'm just saying that if they want to believe in their own religion, by all means, feel free to do that, but don't try to drag other people in to your religion by "showing us the truth". I'm sure that the OP, or anyone else in this thread that's christian will convert the non-christian people posting in it (and I'm sure the same goes vice-versa).

Either way, religion is really not something you should discuss on an online forum, as it is extremely easy to offend someone.

Those crazy jerks were in my town last year when a local soldier died. Fortunately, a group of Hell's Angels retires chased them off and kept a security ring around the funeral to keep the protesters out and drowned out the protester's loudspeakers with their bikes. Quite an odd turn of event. How she can seriously believe any of that is disturbing.

Hey rones - any Idea what codec is required to play this video? Can't seem to get it to work.

I just saw now how terrible my spelling was in that. I have an explanation though; I was in school and was affraid one of the teachers would walk past and ban me from the network temporarily <.<; And not to mention the fact that the school's keyboard sucks. I think the "e" was broken too as I wrote "sam" twice instead of "same" >.<

Handy synonyms-for-fragile-people-o'-matic activated.

dick: synonyms - cock, prick, dick, shaft, pecker, peter, tool
hmm that wont work.. lets see...
maybe if I put in the definition in a google search and hit "I feel lucky" I can get the right term. Lets find some criteria.

discriminates based on race, gender, age, religion.
pro-murder, pro-torture, creator of all good and evil in the world
throws several hundred billion into an eternity of suffering and keeps only the 144,000 biggest suckups.
homophobe, pro-rapist, avowed hater of the legal system, baby killer, chauvenist, and genocidal madman.

eh. doesnt fit. ill see what I can do.

hate rape murder genocide god discrimination chauvenist "baby-killing"
"i'm feeling lucky"

came up with an article on christianity. heh.

anyway, i'm sorry that you take offence to my calling your god a dick. It was the least offensive term I could come up with for a figure i've always had a hard time believing any rational human being would accept as a superior intelligence and morality.

Amen. Couldn't have said it better.

To the OP... holy shit the bible says "its gonna happen sometime and nobody knows when" - i could have figured that one out without knowing my ass from my elbow. Seems kind of like those bullshit fortune tellers to me- maybe even to the level of that edwards crossing over guy. Might as well go ask a magic eight ball for answers over a few thousand year old book.

LMAO , /salute Prothall.

I posted this in the bible thumpers thread but it seems to work here as well:

Really the best any of us can do is to believe ANY religion the way we want. Then one day we will find out if we were right or wrong. If we are right, the cool. If not, I would hope you will find it within your will to apologize and ask for forgivness.

Everyone has their own views on religion, and until actual proof or evidence is shown to declare one side right and the other wrong, we can only watch and wait.

Practice your religion based on how you think it is right. Let others do the same. In the end, someone is going to be wrong. And who else but god really knows who that is?

Let it be noted here and now that I stand in opposition to your god. If there is no higher existence in the universe than the being described as god in your bible, if the ruler of the entire universe is a pendantic and vicious child like the one described in the OT, or even his gentler surrogate absentee parent figure jesus, then I for one would rather fade into thoughtless nothingness, or rot in hell than call him master. As for the rapture. People are thinking, living, breathing life. Your god tortures his creation, he doesnt love it, and he doesnt care. He's as alien to humanity as if he came from another world. Sexless, loveless, wrathful, he creates evil by existing and does nothing to fight it. Instead he makes pawns of his pets, offering candy to such-and-such and eternal torture to the rest. Get over yourself and your worship of this being, go outside in the sun and enjoy this world and this life instead of waiting and hoping for death. If you have to see god in the sunshine and the life and the smile on every baby's face then do so.
When youre dead or raptured or whatever you can spit off your lofty cloud onto the people you despised fighting for their lives against god's hordes of demons and feel superior. Here, youre just a nutjob like that crazy cultist on fox.
