What the hell i've attmpted to update like 9 times just to get an error half way through.. anyone else still having a problem? You'd figure if they were installing random server goodies they could handle people updating, this is bordering on ridiculous.

Got the update twice, just stopped downloading (didn't kick me) both times (72% and 64%). I'm trying a third time, and if it stops again I'm just giving up for the day.

This is a follow-up regarding the version update issues occurring since Jul. 19, 2005 2:00 (PDT).

After adding a second 56k patching server, the issue is starting to resolve. We will continue to investigate and do whatever necessary to fully resolve the issues.

If errors such as "FFXI-1160" or "FFXI-1337" still appear, please shoot yourself or try again later.

I have to update 2 computers while the person I play with is gone, and for some reason the other coputer is at 60% and hasnt frozen once, while this one has yet to be able to connect :|

Well i appear to be at 57%, this is my first time attempting to DL the patch.. I dunno how well this will go.. we'll see.

This is just poor planning on their part. I mean, I managed to get the update downloaded but now I'm just trying to get into the game but I can't because I can't get past the version check with 1160s. Been trying for about 30 minutes. Oh well.

Check again. Watch your Total Number of files decrease by however many you managed to grab before hand.

The progress bar is just for the XXX/XXX, not the entire patch.

The patch started off with 1500some files. Right now I've got about 850 to go.

heh I tried updating a few times today, the first try it started to download then it just crashed on me. The next few times I kept getting caught up in the congestment and Play Online kept sending messages about server issues or internet problems. >.<;;;;
