The server is currently congested ....

I know that, I've been updating all day and it's worked sometimes and then it kicked me and sometimes it hasn't worked, last time it got to 98% and kicked me off, now it's up again and it's still a ton of files. @ 50%, I got kicked off again >< I think it's just the files stored in memory, because I don't get back on to the updater in long stretches of time I probably lose all the data I downloaded

In all honesty, it's 43 cents a day + .33 cents a day per additional character.

I had the same problem with 7.dat too
 
I don't know if its the same for people on PC's. On ps2 if the download stalls i just cancel it and it will save all the files that it already downloaded. It hapen to me once i downloaded 589 files of the 1300. I cancelled and restared and it started to download right where it left off.
 
s'funny i was all for it ......... but now ....... i fear the 360 release in the worst way .. forgot about all those ps2 updates and the downtime thanks to them .... FEAR SE's MIGHT ><

4 tries later and I still get errors like this.... Heh, I guess we might as well update tomorrow or something! CONGESTION HAS OWNED US ALL!

hopefully kyp gets his updated stuff up soon, this is insane.... the fact that users have to do this sort of thing just to get on the game shows SEs lack of understanding about what they entered in to with this game..
 
Heh, I feel bad for you guys... got home logged on WoW booted up FFXI around 5:15pm cst update started immediatly and never had any problems..Here it is 1 hour later and I'm off to get my NPC sidekick.
 
i havent even started this crazy update u all speak of. im in another state on vacation. stop scaring me!
 
Jeez..I've had my current files checked 5 times now, but get the dreaded 1160 error every time it tries to start the actual download.

Why check my files and then boot me out of line? 5 times?

Retarded system.
