The Server-Wide "Do Not Invite" List

Seriously, I made a party with this guy once... did NOT go well AT ALL!

I won't pt with anyone outside my LS.

Yea its true, I will only pt in a predominatly LS pt these days, granted we may have to invite some outsiders but its never by choice.

Why? It comes down to 3 things. Pting for me gets boring very very quickly. When I am with friends I have known for years, well that makes it all the less boring. Also I HATE LFG, I hate it more then you can ever imagine. All my pts are set up in advance in statics. Plus when it comes down to it, I just do not trust ppl outside the LS to not wander off, have no idea whats going on, or just plain suck. But hey go through the 50s on WHM and have 2k EXP an hour be a GOOD pt and you will know my pain. I know the skill and gear of all the people in my LS, so I know exactly what I get into when I pt. If one member does not have particularily good gear, odds are they can get said gear.
 
Well, now that I realize that I can't edit my initial post (shows how much I use the flameboard >.>), this idea is kind of a dud.

Elitist... not really. My idea was to help the majority of the community avoid the *really* bad players out there, and I believe you guys know of the ones I'm talking about. Not the people who radomly get flamed here (and not even the people I have flamed here), but the real ***clowns who can single-handedly ruin your day.

In any case, will some mod please nuke this? Without the edit function, it's just not going to work.

I thought this was a good idea if people can back up their accusations... 'Cause some people can just be having a bad day and aren't really giving the party their undivided attention.

as many LS members In a party as possible. cause even when we occasionally suk, and it does happen. we laugh move on and schedule to do it again tomorrow (hopefully better prepared or new camp.)
 
I don't see what the problem is. Threads about people that suck are made all the time. There is one about a RDM right now (and several people have dropped in to say they disagree with the flame). You can believe everything you read, or do a little investigation on your own...You know, if you are that judgemental to begin with.

All this thread is people who pist off at other people and what sad is some people will actually take this post to heart.
 
Because there is something called "Be your own judge".And if someone messes up once or twice doesn't mean hes going to be always like that.People learn all the time....The learning process starts from the cradle and ends at the grave.In short its a bad idea
 
I mean you might be suprised but one of the best ninjas i've seen was Roofie.Too bad he quit cuz of all the ganging up on him =/

generally anyone in a party with them in seagrotto or sauromungue or rolanberry, and anyone in the LS taruraru except lyrai who only gets a dishonerable mention here for helping ruin the economy for personal gain.
RE: numerous threads about the all BLM ls and lyrai's stance on "Why theyre really nice people who work in crappy conditions for long hours and who shes sure would get different jobs if only they existed but they dont and so hey they have to do what they have to do even if that means ruining ffxi for everyone but her."

What if these people do get better? Or was just having a bad day?

Looking back, I've made very strong posts about people who really pissed me off in parties by not doing their job, not taking criticisms, having a terrible attitude, wearing gimp gear, saying "I want blm sub so I can have blaze spikes for when I tank".

However, about 3-4 months later, I see these same people on a lot of people's praise list and even then the people admit they were learning or had a bad day. So I think the idea of a "Do not party list" is good..but it's only temporary...
 
Gonna agree with Palum...

Hell I started out as a RDM/MNK, I'd totally be on that list...oh wait! I"m still a filthy noob!

Alright folks - I appreciate the enthusiasm, but this isn't going to work since I can't even edit my first post to reflect what is put here.

Mods... would it be possible to make exceptions or perhaps to create another forum where we could keep sticked threads that list gilsellers, etc?
