The Shield starts tonight! (That's a lie, it's over now.)

Speaking of which, did they ever tell who the father of Danny's baby is? My memory is a little fuzzy as to the small details of last season, so I can't remember if they ever said who it is, or if Mackey is just implied.

I don't recall anything being said, but its been implied since forever. Also, that Autism scare Corrine gave Dani last night kinda cemented it in my mind.

Hes the father, without a doubt. The only one to come close enough to be a contender for fatherhood was Dutch and that failed "catkiller" didn't even reach 1st base...

I lol'd when Dannie called her "Uptight bitch," just straight up in her face.

God, I hate Kavanaugh so much.

But you gotta admit Forest Whitaker does a great job. He's a good actor! I wonder if Shane is going to come clean to Vic about what he's done. If he does Vic will either help him cover it up or kill him...

He'd more likely have to cover up killing Shane lol.

Topical necro.

Ummmmmmmmm, the entire Kavanaugh thing just slammed to a halt. I know we all agreed it would end this season, but Jesus Christ, that was fast. @_@

Yeah, I was also surprised it ended last night. Now what...?

Well the show usually runs on 13 episode story arcs per season, so add these first two to the 11 episodes from season five and you have the Kavanaugh arc running the usual course. I'm assuming the rest of the season will involve Mackey hunting down the person who he thinks killed Lem, and eventually his finding out who really did it.

That's a good point. I was just suprised to see it end so abruptly.

How about Shane's fake-confession? "What if I tell them I was with Lem, and the grenade accidently went off?"

What an ass.

Necro, but I wanted to know what everyone thought of the Season Finale last night.

I thought it was a good episode, but not a very good finale.

They could've done better, but don't worry almost all the shows this year had good runs that went WTH
in the season finale...

Agreed.

I liked how Vic didn't use his kids for sympathy, but rather worked to get his job back by uncovering all those blackmail things. I liked watching Shane totally fuck himself and everyone he cares about over with the Armenians. And Billings suing the dept for 3.4 million was so Billings it hurt.

The episode just didn't feel like a season finale.

I thought the finale was great. I wonder how Vic is going to react once he finds out why Shane really kidnapped/hid his wife and daughter. I have a feeling Shane is a dead man..

I have to agree that it wasn't a good finale. Every other season ended with a wow feeling. After last night's finale was over, I half expected a preview for next week. It just felt like just another episode.

And was I the only one surprised Dutch didn't bring up the vending machines when Billings said he was suing the barn?

I'm sure that will come up next season. Dutch suspects it was Billings that set him up to see Tina and Hyatt doing the nasty. I think it'll be his 'mission' to bring Billings down during next season.
