Have you ever been walking towards the entrance of a building with a group of people, each holding the door open for the next person as they go through? Well, typically it goes very smoothly and when done the right way the door is only opened once and simply held open as the group goes through. But then ever once in awhile, usually some skinny ass person decides that they shouldn't bother holding the door as they go through, instead they just slip through and let the door close on the rest of the people going through forcing them to open it all over again. Now I realize this isn't a big problem, it doesn't do any major harm but it is a prime example of pure rudeness that seems to go unpunished so I urge you, whenever you see one of these people on a regular basis, shut the door on their fucking arm.

I once squished a mere child's leg in a revolving door one time, and repeatedly mashed it in there.

There's a story in this and it's not nearly as evil as it sounds.
You can probably fill in the blanks just by hearing the moral of the story...
If you have kids, keep a tight leash on them, especially if they're crazy bastards.

I also <3 saying once and one time in the same sentence.

I'm one of those skinny people you complain about. Level your weight, newb.

Sandwich FTW!!!

lol, i'm guilty of the 'slip through'. Its not till after I do it that I think, "Hmm....that was kinda rude of me. I shouldnt do that".

You never think about it till you inadvertenly do it.

I'd love to see someone who thinks this try and slam a door on my arm.
lol

I'd slam their fucking head in the door until they stopped twitching.

...But yeah, I can see getting a little upset over it.

omg I'd cut the bitch

(p'.')p cuts!! (p'.')-o

the closing door is a wall program it just looks like people slip through because of lag but acctually once the door starts closing the wall program has already tooken effect, there are no slip throughs

=P I am too guilty of "sliping through" and I'll keep on doing it for as long as i live~!!!

I do a slip through whenever the next person is moving too slow. If they expect me to wait more than a couple seconds for them to get to the door they can open it themselves. If it is actually as crowded as you say, then there would always be at least 2-3 people in the way of the door keeping it from closing anyway.

I'm usually the female holding the door for all the men, just to have the door slam shut in my face when I expect the same treatment ._.;

yeah. I'd have to a gree with that, your internet connection is just slow. The door is actally open. It might also be the fact that your computer can't handle the number of people shown on the screen, so it just looks like it's closed because it's slow loading.

<.<;
>.>;
what?

Also to be included in this group are the people who like to enter buildings using the handicapped button...People who are NOT handicapped and do NOT have their hands full, thus keeping them from opening the door for themselves.

Well, I usually hold open the door if the next person is resonably close behind me. Other wise I'll keep moving. I know I am guilty of using the handicap button where applicable since they can be convenient. XD

That response to this thread made my day at work today when it popped in my head, thanks Reya XD

Back on track, is what you're referring to in the OP a matter in-game or out? I can understand what you mean out of game entirely, I'll actually hold a door for people myself until they get through, but I'm known to do a slip-through when nobody is near or around to see it, they'd probably freak if they saw me do it, I'm not fat/overweight in the least, but I'm not a twig like my little brothers :P

Anyway, it's just rude to sneak through a door and leave those behind you to open it again when you could have shown a little courtesy and spared a few seconds, maybe a minute tops to do something nice for another person regardless if you know them or not.

Damn....I read the title of this post and pictured several Mithra and big tub full of lovely orange marmalade..... /sigh

meh, fa-q...i'm lazy, and i like to push buttons, so when i see a button, i push the button. A button is designed to be pressed, for me not to press it, would be to deny the button its inherit purpose. and "thus keeping them from opening the door for themselves" I pushed the button, therfore I opened the door. Thank for your dumbass comment, we are all a more stu-pid-er now...I push that button, and it is like opening the door for free. People can wonder in and out of the building freely and without fear of being smacked by a swinging door. Because they have faith that the fine electricians throughout the world have done a good job wiring that door, and that it will open and close slowly and in a controlled manner, and that there are sensors in place so if someone were to become entagled in the sweeping motion of the door, it would stop and open again. What kind of fail safe does your door have? hmm? Handicap people have the best parking spots, the best, most roomiest stalls, and the most technologically advanced ways of entereing and exitting buildings. To lump those of us who push door buttons in with sliders...why if every door was a handicapped door there'd be no sliders. Just carefree simple and safe passage to and fro the building. You barbaric bastadge...The handicap button, anything less, would be...uncivilized.

Oh my god people you have to see it from my point of view.
It would simply take to much of my valuable time to take my hands out of my pockets, hence I rather slip through the door and have someone else the pleasure of opening.

lol that reminds me in school when my old teacher asked me to open the door because she was rolling this table with a TV in front of her so she couldent do it herself and I was like sure and opened and when she was halfway through I walked away from there and the door slammed into the table lol. She got so pissed, shouting and stuffs but meh... She couldent reach me anyway since she so thoughtfully put a TV in the door opening xD

Those were the days, I may not have been the nicest person at all times but atleast I had fun do the stuffs I did.
